much of this is in the centre of continent - I've not got there yet but some of the local riders here are planning to attend - it's in the dry season -

Cairn's Birdwings are size large butterflies that continually float into the house and by law must be carefully escorted out.
This male decided to stay a while on gf's arm.
The females are significantly larger, very strong fliers - they do look like a bird when flying and usually smart enough to find their way out the house on there own.
NOT as well dressed tho

Not directly motorcycle related tho you could certainly put all three of these in as part of a tour here - spectacular all of them
going here tomorrow night for couple of nights - that's a crater lake and lots of birds and platypus about

and then up to Cape tribulation see if we can catch sight of a cassowary as noted before - maybe Friday the 13th will be lucky ( leaving for home 4 days later )
