Rides around downtown Toronto area for 125 cc newbie rider

Though I am not the OP I have to say thanks to all of you this is awesome. I haven't had a ton of time to discover decent riding routes in the city. I live in the east end and I have to say not always in the mood to drive an hour out to have a decent road (though I realize i'll still have to do that).

But at least I have some new rides to check out.

If you have more decent rides for a east T.O rider please do tell!

and as for OP Groms ROCK! great choice.

where abouts in the east end?

This is a good thread. I'm a new rider as well but coming in from the West end in Etobicoke. Have ridden into downtown via Lakeshore, Bloor and Queensway/King St. but the traffic makes this less than fun. I've also ridden westbound to Hamilton via Lakeshore and that was nice, especially through Oakville and Burlington. Any other suggestions in the West end?

if you're going by Hamilton, look into Effingham Rd, and Ridge Road.

I don't know what your skill level is, but this is a nice-and-easy type route if you take it easy and enjoy the scenery.
A couple of corners are a little tight, so try to avoid getting carried away.

BusaBob that's awesome thanks for sharing. Keep em coming if you have more. In terms of skill I'd say I am intermediate. I've been riding 4 years now. 3 of which were in the Okanagan Valley in BC which is made of twisties galore. i'll explore the ride this week so thanks again!

The Grom is a very capable 'small' bike. The suspension is typical small Honda, could really be improved with just a fork oil change. When you get your 'wings', their are bore kits available to dial up the fun.

Well! There's not much around the GTA that will compare to that.
Hope you don't fall asleep with boredom riding around here!! LOL.
