Rider down on O'Connor Drive

Red CBR125 was involved in some sort of accident this morning on Mortimer Avenue (not O'Connor). Bike was up and parked on the sidewalk, couldn't make out any damage as I passed. I believe another vehicle may have been involved, some old convertible sports car. Ambulance and police were attending, saw the rider up and limping, being helped to the ambulance.

GWS rider, hope injuries aren't serious.

hey that was me I'm thinking
mortimer ave and broadview I'm alive anyway
broken traverse process on my L2-L3 vertebrae 8 hours in the hospital but I'm home now out for 6 weeks at least according to the doc

I got rear ended just as i was coming to a stop right before i would normally check my mirrors. The driver told the police he looked down for a sec looked back up to see traffic stopped and was traveling at aprox 40kph

Get well soon dude

Yowzers, right in my neighbourhood. Maybe I'll still get that brake light modulator after all...

Wow, that's awful, I didn't expect it to be that bad. You're right about it being you on Mortimer, I was mistaken about being on O'Connor. Get well soon dude!

Glad you're more or less ok. Speedy recovery so you can hop right back on a ride!

ya that walk to the ambulance was one of the most painful things I've done in a long time
now i have to figure out getting my bike from a very kind ladies back yard back to my place to see what the damage is
lucky I'm basically at pape and mortimer so its not to far

His/her insurance should look after all that and repairs. Contact yours with his/hers info. Also don't sign off anything.

Ow  That truly sucks but I'm glad to hear it didn't turn out worse! Hope you're able to get back on your bike before the season ends. Rest up and heal well!

Get well soon! The other party's insurance company will take care of your bike and your physio.

Rergarding the post above, I just did M2-exit at Learning Curves and they really insist that you 'tap-tap-tap' your (rear) brake before starting to decelerate.

Not in Ontario. We have no fault insurance, your insurance pays your bills/bike/gear his insurance pays his. Make sure to claim your gear on top of your bike, especially your helmet.

driver was probably looking down to text!

anyone wana start
daddys against testing drivers?

its going to be a way bigger problem then drinking and driving.

good to hear you are well!!!
