rider down at kipling and steeles

If the stolen bike tale turns to be ********....I wonder if that is grounds for banning.

Seems a bit of a serious situation to be playing games with.....just saying....

He just bought a 250, and already wants to upgrade to a 300? Like, I just spent 6 grand on a 250, I need that 50cc so much more that I will take a hit on selling my 250 to buy a 300?

ugh... I want to call BS on this so hard (again) I'll just feel like an *** if it is true. Plus the fact that the person reporting just made their account this month.

I think that if this turns out to be BS that that person is banned, but also look into the IP the person was posting from and if posting from an IP that a regular member posts from also ban their ***.

We just published a post about it. We've been in touch with Toronto Police and we're waiting for confirmation on the story http://esr.cc/13QBgfW
Asking akang77 to get in touch so we can get more details.

Maybe also legal action against him if it turns out to be false?

I know I love my tax dollars being spent for the Popo to investigate false ****.

If he made it up, I think his last concern will be to get banned here.

Do I say only possible in Toronto or GTAM? .... regardless whether it happened or not. This should be submitted for some kind of an award. You just cannot read some of the stuff anywhere else ...

The 250 owner, come forward and submit a copy of the Police report for all to see. Or it has never happened.

Adrenaline can be a crazy thing especially after an accident.

I hope you didn't tell your insurance company that you left the key in it cuz that might get you squat in a return from them.

I hope you wrote down his plate..

Clearly he needed the plate for w.e reason, if he cared about the plate is probably linked to him somehow....

Sucks you are at a loss, but then again hopefully a cop gets him

Fuel injection, ABS, slipper clutch, newer... all reasons to swap from a 250 to a 300... I'd probably make the switch but then again I'd be looking for something with ABS if I wasn't looking for something more different.

Thanks for all your concerns about getting my bike back. As for the accusations that i'm making false claims well the truth is i am telling you the absolute truth and that's all i can say. The only reason i found out about this forum is because a co-worker of mine googled motorcycle accident at Kipling and Steeles after i told her what had happened. So i thought people should know that the rider of the R1 was in fact the thief who stole my bike. If you need to know the PC who took my statement down then its Officer Durocher badge#8910 - 23 division. This whole incident has made go through a roller coaster ride of emotions..i spent pretty much everything i had on that bike and now it's gone in a blink of an eye..yes maybe i could have tackled him but then what..lose my life over a bike? People in a situation like that are desperate and will most likely take desperate measures to get away. I'm grateful for all your concerns and help given in resolving this mess. I'm planning to go to 23 division in hopes of getting any kind of update and right now I'm just looking for some justice. I know i may have sounded cavalier about getting a kawi 300 but if i could just get my bike back of course that would be better. It's been a terrible week for me to say the least.

I've dealth with 23 police before regarding a kidnapping of one my relative. The police move slow with their investigation hang in there. They did an excellent job in my opinion and showed they cared. If he was trying to remove the plates and the plates shows the R1 not stolen than it could only point back to the actual owner which would be the thief.

The police probably know this but have to track him down, gather evidence and verify he was the actual rider of the motorcycle. Which shouldn't be hard considering he suffered injuries.

EatSleepRide.com - Allegedly, on Tuesday May 21, 2013 in Toronto, a Yamaha R1000 motorcycle rider went down on a busy intersection north of the city.

EatSleepRide.com - The Kawi rider went on to say he's not phased by the ordeal and is planning to upgrade to a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300.

Why didn't the police take off after him? Or did they? Not doubting the story, just trying to figure out why the cops didn't pursue or alert any other police in the area.

Can't believe I missed this thread. Just having a hard time picturing what happened. So the injured bloody guy was trying to rip your license plate off when he realised that it was an impossible task he had enough time to get on your bike turn it on and drive away?....

R1 hits vehicle. Vehicle driver is worse for wear, R1 rider is injured but not severely. Akang pulls up on his 250. R1 rider is trying to rip the plate off the crashed R1. Akang leaves his bike to approach the accident scene. R1 rider then gives up on the plate and steals Akang's bike.

This is how I imagine it going down anyway

And then begs the question why the cops didn't pursue and they were approaching the scene already.

Nah, Julz, you got it all wrong!
The dude crashed, got upset, turned onto a rider bystander, got hungry in a mid-fight, went across the street for KFC, they didn't have any left, got back even more upset, took bystander's bike and took off just after saying something about a dancing turtle crossing...
