Renovations of my den...

I'm not a girl, no... Triage is a fantastic group in the Toronto fetish scene, however. You may recognize one or two of the girls there from the tank museum photoshoot I posted not long ago.

There's nothing creepy about this I assure you... when you perform with fire-performers, buskers, and really talented stunt people in the industry having a normal "off-white" coloured wall with a basic Ikea chair and desk doesn't cut it. Sorry if it's not what everyone likes (-:

With all of the photography I do, we strung up film into the ceiling because it's such a high ceiling for the room

Nerding out:

More nerding out (plus a bit of where that film leads down to... Fun fact: That's the 35mm movie trailer for the movie Goldeneye)

My desk, although I didn't have my chair in this shot, oddly...

Old Oil pan...

So yeah. Happy with how it came out, will now look at doing the livingroom, going more red and white, with some dark wood accents tossed in for good measure. I wish I could show you "before" pics of the den, but I haven't scanned them in yet, they were on film. Still though, pink?

The mannequin sort of freaks me out... But everything else looks like cool ideas and toys! I gotta come by your place for halloween!

Go for it! Last year was a blast! We had the coil in the driveway, a bunch of strobe lights, and my gf and I were dressed up as turn of the century-styled magicians. Everyone coming by the house got a quick magic show and lightning show as well!

What I'll probably be doing soon is something with my car club, the GM Club of Ontario. When our car show season winds down, I have a number of my team members come by, and we have a bacon bar night.

Basically it's a night where you have 7 or 8 plates of bacon to choose from, all labelled. There's a variety of dips, mustards, etc as well unique drinks to sample with. Maybe I should be arranging a GTAM type of bacon bar night to show the bike and quell some of the rumours here...

Did you check out OP's other videos??? Wouldn't want to hear about you being field dressed and then stuffed it in the trunk of your 88 Grand am in the news. Just sayin' ;)

This just made me LOL hard
:lmao:

I like it! Thinking of stealing some of your great ideas in turning my shed into that old classic vibe.

Thanks, psycho44... It really is weird how different the reactions are from people on here. Everyone is hung up on the mannequin. It was a prop from a shoot. Most on here would believe that any prop from a horror movie or some alternative photoshoot should be destroyed and people notified to police (even though I'm sure that was tongue in cheek). It's not like there's meat hooks hanging from the ceiling where I work, there's antique light bulbs that look awesome from here: http://www.eclecticrevival.com/home/item/edison-style-filament-light-bulbs

I used a James Bond movie trailer to stream film across the ceiling and wall, and I've got my antique camera collection... WHICH, it should be said, is actually used. A number of those cameras I've worked hard to preserve, find old parts or make new parts to get them working again. I develop the film at home afterwards. I'm proud of that stuff, so yeah, my den where I have people hang out to have a smoke kind of reflects the stuff I do in life. The mannequin was a prop that as a joke, we all started calling "Bessie". The lights are actually on a dimmer switch, if you can believe it. If you immediately think "ZOMG WHAT A FREAK" because of that? Please consider what you type before making judgements. The gas masks are used when doing photoshoots on a volunteer basis for the local tank museum or when the bike I've got is in a parade, or a military show. They hang off the side in their storage bags as they were in the war, but I don't leave them on the bike for when I'm using it on a daily basis.

The rest of the stuff I around the house I haven't bothered to show just because of the negative reactions. I've restored other classic cars in the past so I've made the rooms sort of reflect the cool stuff I've done, and the absolute ******** I've been through the past 5 years. Getting my motorcycle was a big accomplishment for me, I bought it just days after getting out of the hospital earlier this year after being told I was supposed to be dead.

I have a girlfriend whom I love, a dog that's awesome, a car I'm proud of, and a motorcycle that brings smiles. If having something other than a normal everyday house bothers you, well...

Firemate, honestly I was just teasing you. It actually looks pretty cool, don't be bothered by the negative reactions, you can post just about anything on this forum and you are bound to get negative reactions from one person or another. You should definitely be proud of all you've accomplished and have - Cheers :)

don't know if you can call it a negative reaction. People just like to criticize everything and anything. When's the last time a positive thread has gone viral?

Just keep posting some more of your great works. There's still a bunch of us that are interested in seeing them.

Show us the car!!

Im voting it's some kind of chopped, channeled or sectioned "lead sled"... Which would be sick.

LOL no, it's not... it's just a car that sadly not many got sold of here in North America. I have a modified G8 which is made in Australia and sold there as a Holden Commodore. RWD, 6.0L V8. It's now up to 436hp.

There's a lot of it that you can't see or is just used at car shows. In the day time it looks "normal" with nothing activated. In fact, until you lay into the exhaust, the trombone-inspired exhaust we made doesn't make much noise. It's a sleeper.

Here's some pics I took of it:
