Renovations of my den...

This will be boring to most, but I wanted to be able to upload pics and have a "progress report" of sorts for myself kept in one thread as time goes on.

Been working on the den and trying to move stuff around, so here's the progress thus far for anyone who's been to my house before:

Bessie finally has her own spot, her own alcove to hang out!

Um.....so what did you actually renovate? Or planning to renovate?
 
ummm?....ya....ok. Can't wait til the update...wtf?
 
It's basically done at this point... now it's more the decorating. The room originally when I moved in was pink, walls were peeling etc. Today I finished re-winding some transformer cores and have some high frequency generators working in there for lighting effects.

Interesting look you're going for, in terms of kinky-sex-serial-murderer vibe.
 
In all seriousness, it's not for everybody. If I turned the camera around you'd see the desk with GM Performance magazines, the oil pan from a 1950's Ural hanging on the wall, and army themed Battlestar Galactica posters. It's literally just an open space for me to work and plan stuff out. Since the performances tend to have military themes, hence the gasmasks.

Yeah .... that mannequin is scary as hell...and what's with all the clocks and the weird light bulb and what the hell is that thing by the stairs?? ....ummmmm nice renovations.... :shock:

Show more pics of the room overall. It's hard to judge a reno when everyone is creeped out by a mannequin! :p
 
I don't think some people are getting that you didn't make a tv room or something that may be considered conventional. What you have done is odd, but you have puled off your intent, it's not my thing, but kudos3
 
I think it's pretty cool from what I've seen so far in your pics. I like the mannequin, I might have to steal that idea ... I already have the gas mask I use it as a Halloween costume.
 
The mannequin sort of freaks me out... But everything else looks like cool ideas and toys! I gotta come by your place for halloween!

Did you check out OP's other videos??? Wouldn't want to hear about you being field dressed and then stuffed it in the trunk of your 88 Grand am in the news. Just sayin' ;)
