red light camera

hey all,got the flashes crossing a red...anyone ever got one? Do they send you a ticket, and you goto court? how does it work?
you will get a ticket in the mail, but it will be addressed to the owner of the vehicle
i remember it is useless since they can't poof who is driving.anybody got one?
useless: doesn't show up on your driving abstract? doesn't show up to your insurance? ... in that case, sure it's useless; however, if you ignore it, your plate will be denied when you try to renew it
i read that if you pay it,is just like a parking ticket, but if you take it to court it can stay on your record? WTF??
it is like a parking ticket, however showing up to court would be in your best interest if you can't afford to pay the fine; in court you can plead guilty to a reduced fine and request additional time to pay the fine with the Justice of Peace and/or the Crown Attorney

you must have been in your car? because the sensors dont pick up the bikes. i came to an intersection for the left turn signal, the lights cycled through, and i didnt feel like sitting for another 3 minutes, so when the way was clear i took the turn, and the camera's didnt flash. two other riders pulled up beside me and still no green arrow, they waited a bit longer to see if i got flashed then they went through too.

The sensors pick up bikes just fine.

damit!! the dam ticket show up with a nice clear pic of the car before the line at the red light and it in the intersection with the light red lol. now if i take it to court and take a plea.is it gonna be on my driving record or effect my insurance rate?

PS plz only reply if you know for sure.i can guess as good as everyone else ;)

It won't affect your driving record as they don't know who was driving. I doubt it for insurance, but I don't know for that one.

Again it's like a parking ticket, it won't affect your insurance nor your abstract. They do not know who was driving, having said that if you can show extreme financial hardship you can get a reduced fine and get extra time to pay the fine.

I've seen one dude go in and swear he was unemployed with three kids, the JP rules, "no fine".

If you fail to pay or respond to the letter, your plate will be denied ... and the city will ultimately send you to collections which will kill your Credit Rating.
