Red CBR600rr stolen today

Wtf?? Another one? No way!

Sent from my tablet using my paws

just goes to show you that you shouldnt waste your money on chains and alarms. If a thief wants your bike, they will get it.

theives love that ****, its just more stuff for them to sell.

Well you know what buddy? I'm glad they don't, but I'm sure they will take it if they saw it, shoot they even stole a mop that my Mom had outside.... yes a dirty and humid mop.

There you have it, they'd rather steal a mop than your bike!

Timmay is that you?

I can believe this. I had a alarm and chained to the post with a reinforced chain. Even l thought it was safe. No other bikes were taken from the garage...

I do have full theft, but worried that this is going forever impact my insurance. I already have a crash that resulted in a total write off. It's a compleely different story when it happens to you

what chain did you have on it? what lock?

Sadly, this topic I know; Insurance will ask you for the police report number. If you haven't filed a report do it - ASAP. You will have to pay your deductible but they can take it out of the settlement cheque if you want. I was told as it was 'total loss' due to theft, it would have no bearing on my rate in the future.

Also; if you're going to try and replace it right away, speak to them (insurance) about suspending your insurance temporarily - not too long though because the monthly rate will increase as you'll have the amount owing on your policy spread over less months. If you cancel, you'll most likely owe them a bunch of money on your policy...and they'll expect you to pay up.

If they want it, they'll take it. Your only way to stay sane is insurance.

A total theft has no deductible and will not affect your insurance rates.

What are your plans for your next bike? 2013 636? Don't let this discourage you.

thats the second time you have endorsed the new 636 lol!

but i hear that...i would be all over that 636 if i had the coin.

I'm reppin Kawasaki. Finally someone is putting out some impressive products. Track ready Ninja 300 with a slipper clutch? Woot. I'm recommending it to everyone over the CBR 250 now, cause it's got fuel injection finally! And the ZX10, absolute monster on the dyno, nice.

Looks like Honda is finally giving some of my friends their money back, after two valve adjustments and a head replacement have failed to fix the stalling at speed problem on their CBR 250's. Ninja 300's for them, thanks Honda! And you didn't believe me when I told you it was an ECU/Software issue? Shame on you! DON'T SHUT THE FUEL INJECTORS OFF ON DECELERATION RIGHT UNTIL IDLE RPM NEXT TIME! lol Honda.

Pretty bike!

Don't let the criminals win man! It's just a bike! You have your health, your family! It could be much worse.

Get a new bike, sleep good at night knowing it's insured. That's the only thing you can do, BUT GET ANOTHER BIKE!

My only advice to you is to understand the words of Buddha: "Attachment is suffering"

Try not to be so attached to these material items; things could be MUCH worse for you right now. It IS just a bike; you'll get some money for it, and -in some time- you'll save some more, and purchase another one. Motorcycling obviously means a great deal to you, so I am confident that you will invest time in ensuring that whatever you replace that bike with (and wherever you choose to store it), it will bring you joy.

Sucks, but the world will keep turning. Buck up, bro.

In the mean time, I'm gonna start a small storage business (for motorcycles, etc.) by purchasing small garages/spaces located near major condos around the city.

Cheers

Did you buy this Bike at Kahuna by any chance?

what chain did you have on it? what lock?

I had an OXFORD chain 8ft long with a scorpio i900 alarm installed. At the time the scorpio alarm was on a more lax setting. I had to set it down because the guy in the parking spot next to me would set it off while parking. It look like they grinded the lock off and ran with the chain intact. There was metal shavings there but very little. Seems like they kept efficient as stealing it.

I had a bike cover but havent been using it because l used the bike often enough.

Nope. Vos Motors

FACKKKKKKKKK! I'm getting totalled by expenses... Ironically l was going to ride that day but had to fix my car... If a $400 mechanic bill wasnt enough try coming home to a missing bike

So when im ready for a new bike l can hopefully pay the same amount. I dont want to quit riding but till l have my own garage l cant risk it no more

The problem with insurance is that you probably won't get as much as you're expecting as they factor in mileage/depreciation to the payout. On top of that, they may not cover accessories lost. It can be as bad as Kijiji lowballers.

I know some people park their bikes in storage units so if you have a outdoor storage facility near by and are willing to drive/walk there every time you want to ride you bike, thats an option.... Although it is very inconvenient.

don't worry about having turned down the proximity. It wouldn't have made any difference.
what lock did you have on it?

Really sorry to hear :( Same thing happened to my Daytona a few months ago . . . I feel your pain. You will loose out on your deductible $500 or $1000. . . . If you are with Stat-Farm they will treat you right and pay you out in about 20-30 days. Good luck with the process =/
