Recovering from a false neutral..

Also unless you are sitting in traffic, why would you be in 1st on the highway (unless you are merging maybe)?

Accidentally shifting into neutral happens between 1st and 2nd.
A "false neutral" happens when you shift into that magical spot between 2 OTHER gears that doesn't engage ANY gear. You know, that spot you could NEVER find on purpose and which inevitably creates that confused state in your mind as you KNOW you were at least in 3rd and up-shifting... how could you be in neutral?

Been there, didn't like the sound when I engaged it fully into gear either. :(
None-the-less OP, learn to be more decisive in your shifts.

That vid was great. I'm happy my bike shuts off if you put it in gear with the stand down:)

Hmm ok thanks for the clarification -- With that said I then have had this happen once on the 250, I believe between either 4 and 5 or 5 and 6 while I was north of 120km/h. After I finished staying WTF in my helmet, I clutched in, kicked up HARD, rev-matched and let the clutch out and all was well. Tried to make it happen again and never could, so forgot about it until now.

didn't read thread but get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids GWS with your recovery gotta go

Both the rear brake lever and shift lever can be adjusted up or down by screwing in or out their respective actuating rods.

Don't know why I never thought of that. I knew the shift lever can be adjusted, but I always assumed the brake couldn't. I'll have to do this when I get home tonight.

Make sure you also adjust your rear brake light switch accordingly (I know you have to on the CBR250R otherwise it may stay on constantly or never come on at all depending on which way you adjust).
