Recommendations on a naked bike

Yamaha FZ8, Triumph Street Triple, Triumph Speed Triple, Kawasaki Z1000, Honda 599, Honda 919 all get my vote. If you're going for the Ducati, go with the 1100. Although, all of these bikes will be a big jump in HP from a TW200. Be mindful of that.
 
F800r would be a good step up. It's very tractable if you keep the revs low, then goes nuts after 5k. Should keep you satisfied for a while. Comparable to an FZ8, though not quite as smooth. I like the snarlieness, myself.
 
My opinion... the new Honda CB1000 (hotness!) or Kawi Z1000 (beast!)
 
Along the same lines.. I'm thinking ahead a year or so for my upgrade from a 250.

What are thoughts on the Suzuki SFV650 Gladius?

Also like the Monster and the Street Triple.

Haven't had much chance to look at others.
 
I hope this post isnt considered biased as I have a 2009 Monster 696 I'm looking to sell soon, but the Ducati Monster is beautiful naked bike.
 
If money is not an issue, I'd go for Aprilia Tuono V4R. Corsa Meccanica should have one on the floor by the and of August.
 
Just got a Street Triple R. VERY responsive, tossable bike with strong feedback. Dunno how it will fare on a 1000km ride, but if you want something a little plusher the regular Street Triple is a safe bet. Or for more power, the Speed Triple. As for looks and sound... Sexyyyyyyyyy! :)

The reviewers love it and in my mind it is already a classic.

Street triple R!!!

Lowish insurance point and monster power, plus awesome brakes and suspension.

That might just be my next bike!

If you're buying new, don't get a Ducati. All that money and you're getting a bare bones bike, chain drive, no abs, no electronic goodies or accessories.
