Recommendation for tires pleaseeee

Had them on my 600 after power pure. Quite the drop in feel and grip from the michelins. Q's is supposedly another story

In other words I should be careful. There's just so much thread left on them :-/
In all honest I'd rather have sticky tires and change them often than not be confident.

Its your money to light on fire.. But i can post a pic of me dragging knee on The Dragon on some old school Diablo Stradas.

I had metzeler m3 that came with my zx6r. That was the worst sport tire I ever had IMO. I guess I should of said stay away from metzeler m3's

Thats a cool story bro, it really is. But at the end of the day you can drag a knee on a 25 year old bike, however technology constantly advances. Tires of today don't compare to ones made 10 years ago.

if you think that's the case get a set of m1s next time hahaha

ive ran a few sets of m3 and had no complaints. then my tires got held up at the border and ended up getting m1s. could definately tell the difference, these things were as ****** as original qualifiers. ofcourse im comparing these tires with todays top of the line ones...so take it for what it is.

Dunlop roadsmart 2. Was doing 160 in heavy rain through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois on my way to Chicago with not one slip. Hard launch off a light? No slip. They have a crazy amount of grip in the corners too.

I think you're agreeing with me?

Multi compound sport touring tires offer more grip than 99% of street riders are capable of using.

I recently put on Metzeler M5 tires. So far so good and wet traction seems to be excellent. Being end of season, I haven't had the opportunity to really lean them over yet but they've been fine for some light-spirited riding.

Pilot Power 2CT I found good in the dry but not very good in the wet.

Bridgestone BT-016 worked well in the dry, can't speak to wet grip though.

I'm running Michelin Road 2's on a litre bike. I was getting sick of having to buy new tires every 5-6k so I thought I'd give them a try. So far, not a single complaint except it took some time to adjust to the rounder profile of the front tire. Riding style?, average... no real hooligan crap but the tire has not faulted yet even on spirited rides (no rain experience with them). Currently have 4k on the set and tons of meat left. I would even consider a track day on them. Not cheap to purchase but thumbs up to Michelin Road 2's.

+1 Buddy of mine has the Road 2 on his R6 and after ~6000 kms of 99% city riding the tread depth still looks near new

I have the road 2's as well.
Put them on after hearing all the "you only need sport touring tires on the street" etc from everyone.

They were right lol

Haven't slipped at all, feel very confident in the rain. Tires are actually built for slightly cooler temps.

If you have any sense of smooth, then sport touring tires are fine...

I have no chicken strips etc and they haven't let me down yet. Also profile is still intact after 5000km or so.

Came off of Michelin m3's and they are night and day. The m3 was 5 years old mind you and was probably degrading (hard as a rock I tell you). In rain on the M3 if I accelerated hard the back would slip out like no tomorrow lol especially on on ramps.

I absolutely love the road 2 and will most likely never buy a hypersport tire for street use again.

Pilot Road 3s had them on my R6.. They are great! 7000+km and not even half tread!

Have 2CTs on my F4 now and they seem good, haven't got to really test them tho... I hear great things about both

Cheers,
Geoff
