just bought a used GSXR 600 / need feedback on best dealer for servicing ?

Hillcrest Suzuki
Suzuki of Newmarket
Brampton Suzuki

I've heard only good things about Hillcrest and lots of criticism on Suzuki of Newmarket

???????????????

Not SON, I don't trust them. No experience with hillcrest.

Suzuki of Brampton isn't bad. Not a huge fan of the staff but the mechanics are fine.

Stay far, far away from SON.
What is wrong with SON?
Everything, read the comments in this forum.
Recomend you do a search and make your own opinion.

Yeah I also suggest you do a search about SON on this forum and make up your mind from the comments. Having said that I will never trust a bike that has been there until I have gone over it.

If you don't need the dealer there are many decent shops and mechanics in the GTA.

According to some previous threads, Hillcrest Suzuki has gotten out of the bike business. I took my SV650 there, because I heard it was the best. Now I have a brand new Gixxer on the way and I'll use Snow City. It's just up the street from me and they have given decent service the times I have been there.

Got my s40 from there. Good guys but had some dumb moments. Took them a while to realize that they werent going to convince me to bring my bike in for oil changes and to just sell me the oil.

Spoke to Hillcrest Suzuki yesterday / they are open and say no intention on closing / all rumors by competition.
Their tech - Keith is one of the best ( Suzuki Canada recommended them to me ). I will be going there.

Thanks for info guys!!

Definitely not SON, I don't trust them at all and they are a bloody rip off. Suzuki of Brampton is good, I haven't tried snow city though...

WOW another SON f.....up / heard from fellow riders that SON mechanics rebulit a C50 cruiser engine and it blew in one week.
Lawsuit for sure!!!

Why do you need a Suzuki dealer for service? There are other Motorcycle service shops that are not Suzuki dealers.

I needed a half inch faring bolt which was stripped and gave it to their parts department. After looking for 15 minutes the parts guy came back and told me he couldn't find a match. I'm not joking! I went to Newmarket and got a match within 2 minutes. This isn't exactly rocket-science!

Had my bike serviced at Zedno in Thornhill and he has a great mechanic in Scott. Reasonable price and turnaround.

For service, as with my cars, I stay away from dealers who have huge overheads and service prices to match.

I hope you're not reading this message too late. But keep as far away from the Suzuki of Newmarket (THE SON) as you possibly can. They are a disgrace to Suzuki and are being sued left, right and center for screwing people up mechanical and financial.

I've got a rectifier recall to deal with on my bike, will take it to Hillcrest even tough I bought the bike from SON. Just need to make the time ...

I kindof feel the same way with SON.. although Dave upstairs in the accessories shop is excellent.. Has really gone the extra mile for me a couple of times..

Hillcrest Suzuki is pretty good. That's where I got my gsxr, and while the bike had problems from the factory, they fixed them quickly. Keith is a good mechanic, but can be a bit moody at times. That said, unless the bike is under warranty, just take it to Z1 or Rider's Choice.
