Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

I just flat out to refuse to watch superhero movies anymore now. The only ones I watch are anti-superhero ones (The Boys series is good) or ones that are obvious piss takes. It’s just overplayed.

Call me old school...but I think Lynda Carter still got it lol.

Gal Gadot is pleasing to me, go watch her in Keeping up with the Joneses...;)

Lynda yass!

Palm Springs, another great movie. Wasn't expecting much, but it's hilarious while being semi-serious.

What I liked about Palm Springs is it didn't dwell too much on the characters' discovery and acceptance of the Groundhog Day phenomenon. It went straight to new ground building on that premise that previous rewind/replay movies haven't covered, as if it was a spiritual sequel to those kinds of shows.

My wife suggested this one, Long Shot with Rogen and Theron. I accepted with an eye roll....we both lolled the whole movie. Much better (and raunchier) than expected.

Reviews on it are actually quite good and I enjoyed the trailer so will give it a watch.

Can't go much wrong with Charlize Theron in my books. (y)

Re-watched Back to the Future (1985) last night. I believe I watched this in the movie theatre that was in Haliburton back in the day.
This is one of these perfect movies, just ticks all the boxes and gets them right.

Call of the Wild with Harrison Ford.

Holy crap...computer animation effects have come a long way. The ones in this film are particularly good. Pretty sure there isn’t a real animal in the entire film. Anyway, it’s what you would expect and a good way to pass a few hours. Any dog owners will definitely enjoy it.

As an aside, our boy dog sat propped against my side watching the film for a solid hour before he wandered off to bark at people passing the front window.

Watched “The Outpost” two nights ago. Totally pulled me in. Helluva watch and my nerves were shot long before the end. Btw, stick around and watch through all the credits.

watched this last night...it was a surprisingly fun romp since I generally dislike Rogan films.

Watched Long Shot last night and both wife and I loved it. The Potato in a jacket clip was the best.
Also watched The Outpost today and enjoyed it.
