Rear lifestand for 250ninja

When I had my 250r I used the Canadian Tire rear stand. The package came with both the front and rear. But the front stand was difficult to use and the only time you would use it is if you wanted to store the bike and get it off the groind. Like others have mentioned, you dont need the stands for oil changes. I just remembered , the Canadian Tire stands also included the spools. They had the 10 mm ones for the 250r.

close to yorkdale around rogers and keele area.

Besides oil change i also want to do things such as lube the chain, kind of hard to spin the wheel.

Another method is use car jack but not sure how stable that is

Just find something cheap online and buy it then. I don't get the dilemma here. Look on Kijiji, amazon, ebay and just order whatever's cheapest. Should be there within the next few weeks.

If you want to drive out to Scarborough, I will give you a set of stands in exchange for a 12 pack of Corona's.
Front is something like this:

and the rear is paddle type so you don't need spools.
PM if you want and I'll bring the with me to work.

Re: Rear stand for 250ninja

You got ripped off buddy, here's a set for $70:

I've been using the same stands in the link for 3 years and no problems as of yet.

I have a nearly identical set I got at the dealer when I bought my bike. Roughly the same price and no issues at all. My only complaint is the squeezing the front open to get it on can be a *****. They work great for the price and for the amount of time I use them spending a fortune on 'better' stands wasn't worth it to me.

Re: Rear stand for 250ninja

you don't need stands to change oil on the 250. learned that from pete at rosey toes.

if you do use a stand that has spool hooks, you don't need rear spools, you just need a pair of 10mm bolts with the right threading. leaned that from kneedragger.

haven't looked recently but someone in markham last time I looked had the same stands as the venoms but with a different name on them on ebay for $70 front/rear delivered.

Re: Rear stand for 250ninja

ill sell you my rear hindle spool stand for $50

Re: Rear stand for 250ninja

some good deals posted.. (esp the trade for beer)

When you get a more expensive or highend bike like a Ducatti and have a centre hub in your rear wheel, "Pit Bull" stands are great.. expensive, ($160-$200 each) but then again, you dont want to be dropping your $15,000-$25,000 bike would you?

I've had no issues with that one, works great with the 250 and just big enough for a r6. The only stand I would spend the money to get is a triple tree

Re: Rear stand for 250ninja

So how did it go?
Were you able to use them properly?
