Maybe they know that there's little competition nearby so if you come in for service, you don't have many options so they just don't care?
I live very close to a shop at Lakeshore / Browns Line and that place seems fairly steady during the week. I've only been in there once as I needed a part that they didn't have, but outside of that my options are:
I'd say I'm fairly fortunate. There was another place on Kipling that shut down but I forget the name now....there's Lion's auto or something there now.
The way I see it if you can start up a shop, keep the customer informed and not ******** them then you have a good chance of putting a good name out.
If only I had the money to start a shop....ah well. Will keep dreaming.
