I never understood why the hell they ask me about something that happened more than 2 years ago.
Can't they run the license and pull it up from there?

So far I've been able to provide it based on old emails I had archived lol.
It's also a good idea to get your current insurer to send you a claims letter of experience which lists your claims over the past 10 years and whether you're considered at fault or not. The more accurate you are up front, the less likely your rate will change after you sign up and they validate everything.
 
And this was the issue, not having an agent that explained it properly
Unless the agent is a lawyer they would have trouble explaining coverage. To cover all their bases the policy uses very specific wording and clauses. Simplifying policies make them subject to interpretation and misunderstanding.

I've never had an underwriter or adjuster answer a hypothetical question.
