Rattle can paint for race glass?

I am in the process of painting my front fender with tremclad fast dry "professional" spray can. However I am doing something wrong.
I wait about 24 hours between coats (as per can instructions) wet sand with 400 grit, and spraying a light coat. I always get this in some small spots:

Am I still spraying too much paint, not waiting long enough between coats, or something else?

Don't use the spray paint.
Try the brush method explained earlier on in this thread.

Hello, after reading this thread, I've decided I'll paint my new fiberglass race fairings with Tremclad when I get them soon. However, I have a couple of questions if somebody is willing to answer (I'm completely new at paining, so please bear with me):

1) A visit to Canadian Tire showed a very limited set of colors for the Tremclad. However, there was a "tint base" cans. Am I limited to the colors they have on the shelf, or can the paint be tinted?

2) How do you paint one color next to another? Is it by taping and finishing the first color (few days with a day between coats), then remove the tape and put new tape over the section that's already painted and finished? Isn't that going to peel off the Tremclad later when you remove the tape after finishing the second color?

3) What thinner to use to thin the Tremclad? Also, do you pour and thin just a little bit in a separate container or how? (todl you, I'm really newb!)

4) None of the cans in Canadian Tire mentioned "enamel" on the labels, and I've read somewhere "use the newer kind that is enamel based"...?!

Thanks in advance for your help!

sup TJ long time no see, lol Great to know you've got a good setup over there, this info might come handy when I need more than just a paintjob later on. Right now i'm trying to save some major bucks for other upgrades I want to do on the bike, a good paint job for these fairings, which I'll probably crash next summer anyway, is pretty low in my priorities list. Besides, I don't have a street bike and having at least something to work on in the winter will keep me sane.

so do all the sanding and let me paint them! duh! lol
i just painted my r1 track bike body work ....you should stop buy and see !
also ordered

STM slipper clutch (really pumped for that) with new OEM clutch

Really nice! I've been wanting slipper clutch too, the STM for my bike would run me 1500+ One thing at a time!

the list i gave you is around the same as my bike is worth LOL i hear ya! cant even afford to go to the movies this month hahaha

Order a paint colour from a website etc then take the tin to Napa and get them to put it in a rattle can for you. That's how i'm going to do mine.

But where are the answers to my questions:

plasti-dip easy to remove if you decide to get it painted professionally , if you need to do a touch up its easy to remove and re do just a panel , its starting to get more color choices

Plasti dip is an interesting suggestion---i don't want to paint the tank but nothing goes with silver tank, so I might just as well cover the tank in plasti-dip to match black fairings. I just wonder how durable it is going to be, the gas tank gets a lot of wear and rubbing if you know what i mean.. do you know how it holds up?

You should have just bought my R1. I have most of those parts already and would have sold it for less than 8k :P But at the same time, building up a bike over the winter is fun too (Im going through the same thing with my track bike right now.)
