Did anybody try to use sti driver (thinking if it's worth buying one) Any feed back from current users is very appreciated.

IF you are going to get a RD, that's the one to get. BUT ...

Still won't help with an instant-on situation. It beeps, you're busted. (If the cop is pinging cars in traffic, you might get an advance warning, but if you are alone, or the cop is being very selective about who he aims it at, too late.)

Won't help with aircraft speed measurement at all. Nor with pacing. Nor with laser. (It beeps, you're busted)

If it's visible in the vehicle, you are still in trouble.

I've never bothered with a RD because I regard them as a false sense of security. It's better to just blend in with traffic and make sure you are not the fastest vehicle in view ...

I'm confident that the thing will give u warning way before the line of sight. Cop being selective, same here warning before line of sight. Aircraft, no chance and it is a pace measuring technique.

Nice unit I had a "friend" that had one worked great saved his but more than once but it was the built in version of the unit. It is surprising how many cops drive around with the radar on all the time . It is most usefull on 2 lane roads in the country where there aren't set up traps but cops cruising around with the radar on. That being said he never bothered putting it in his new car and doesn't drive as fast as he used to.

I,m talking about bike install, not interested to use it in car as I rearly speed driving. Is it detectable by spectre rdd

Undetectable from when I looked into it. My RD helped me many times just by getting the residual signals bounced off other vehicles. Finally got caught by a rear facing instant on in a moving unmarked cop car.......tricky bugger.

My buddy had one in his car and it saved him more times then he can count. usualy he gets a warning wayy ahead of time so you have enough time to stop. Also its not detectable by any current anti RD device. he had one on his bike but we came to the conclusion that if he were to be going fast enough to need a radar detector...the cop wouldnt stand a chance anyways :P

My dad used to have one, but you really have to be careful. The cops have patrol cars that go out and are specially equipped to specifically find these radar detector gadgets. He had a cop find him 3 miles away, because it recieves and sends signals and the cop had a device that can detect the signals and you could get in big trouble if caught. Use at your own risk.

If you speed, they pay huge dividends, unless you're caught with one. Although some may be undetectable, most cops know when they see your brake lights from the rear or your front end dive from the front. I heard a rumor that they rat you out to insurance if caught with one and then you're considered high risk.

I use some punk kid full of piss and vinegar as a decoy. It's save may butt many many times. Wait until he/she passes and then follow at a discrete distance.

The bonus is that I don't have to spend money or worry on an illegal device.

That method has always worked for me.. If i see someone coming up on me I always make sure they can pass.. and then I follow a couple clicks slower then them.

Speaking of which:

"they actually had a detector detector that detected my detector.... mother ****ers" ;)

What does undectable mean?

The difference is the kids ahead of you are completely detectable.

Undetectable means the RDD the cops use can't pick it up the only way they can tell you have it is if you do something stupid like slam on the brakes when pinged or leave it in view.

so beltronics it is, sti driver has 0 leakage, tag price is 460 kinda steep, but on the long run will pay for itself
need to figure out how to mount it and hard wire, plus bluetooth in helmet for listening. Could be expensive project to do.
