I installed my brand spankin new OEM radiator today. I had to flush what looked like milk curds out of my coolant lines, the old rad was full of them too.
A close examination of the old rad leads me to believe it failed due to corrosion. Or, overpressure, like if the milk curds clogged the rad core pipes and they ruptured, but don't know if that's how it works. A few of the pipes were split open about 1/4".
When I drained the water out of the old rad it came out lookling like milk. Unlike the water in the overflow bottle which was clear and bright pink!
I filled it up with the required amount of Amsoil Coolant Boost and TAP water and hopefully she'll be good
