This should be everyone’s winter checklist, maybe save for bodywork repair ;)

That's what holes drilled and zip ties are for. Fyi poster forgot bug debris removal!

It's Winter! Yay! Enjoy the garage time e'one

This is my first year that I really don’t have any bodywork to repair. I’ve got a small 2” crack on my upper from St. Eustache but I can live with that...just. Everything else on that list is my regular maintenance. Did it all before the season even though the bike had 800km on it, it’ll get it all again now that I’m at 2000km. Unless there’s crash damage, the only tools I want to touch all weekend are the ones I need to change tires.

Mine are from 2 seasons ago (Yay shiny side up season), but not bad enough for me to justify repair. Track hack.

The hotbodies deal is damn tempting though, I may just buy my own xmas present this year!

shiny side up season??? whats that???

GSXR600:

Tear down and inspection front to rear
Slipper Clutch
Brembo 19RCS
Motion Pro Rev2 Throttle kit
Quick Shifter
New front brake lines
Replace bushings/bearings in shifter linkage or new complete rear sets(so I have spares)
SS rear tail or redo my stock seat setup to make it easier to slide on
Rear shock rebuild
Front forks rebuild
Maybe new chain/sprocket
Find spare wheels for rains
Decide on what tires to use!

Can't wait to get back out there!

Just a quick question? Why do you want a seat to slide on?

I look for grip on mine.

A friend of mine racing in CBSK made the suggestion and didn't really think much about it at first, but now I know what he meant.

Right now I have a race tail but using the factory seat. Its nice and comfy but it is like sitting in a soft chair or couch and it makes moving side to side difficult and more exhausting than needed. Looking to use just a thin piece of foam on an SS tail to make it easier to slide without having to stand up so much to get out of the deep foam.

I get the advantage to the foam pad over the stock seat and agree 100%.

Maybe i am just not one to slide in the seat. I get up off in transitions using the pegs to shift weight and move bike.
I use the seat as another anchoring point along with inside of thigh.

To each their own. I was just curious.
Have fun!

So do you mean a seat that allowed you to move easier but still offers grip?

Exactly! There seems to be a few options for grooved foam seat I will likely use. If anyone else has suggestions, I am all ears!

And for those who use a SS tail, do you have problems with the fibreglass holding up?
