r6 parts fit on r6s

Hey guys I am trying to restore my bike it is a 06 r6s. would regular 03 to 05 r6 parts fit on it? how do i spot the differences between the r6 and the r6s?
 
Yes,all the parts are interchangeable.The exception being the 05 had a different front end.

As Graham said, the bike is nearly identical.
The 05 was the only yr it had inverted forks and radial calipers.
 
hey guys, thank you for replieng. so basically 05 r6 parts will fit also EXCEPt the forks and the calipers. right? the swing arm? front fairings? wheels ? that all fits?

The entire 05 front end is different (triple tree's, clip on's, forks, calipers, wheel, master cylinder, etc. etc.).

Swing arm, front fairings (except front fender), rear wheel, all good to go. If you check the parts fishes(sp?) on Bike Bandit that can usually tell you what's different (pick the same colour bike for 04 R6 and 05 R6 and make note of the part #'s of the things you want to know is compatible. If the 05 shows a different part# than the 04 then it might not fit on your R6S ;)

First of all thank you for ur reply. your saying then that 03 04 parts are identical to 06 r6s? P.S: sexy r6 in ur sig!
 
i picked 04 r6, and am overwhelmed by these choices YZFR6S YZFR6 YZFR6SCS YZFR6 YZFR6SC YZFR6 (CAL MODEL) YZFR6SS YZFR6 which one is mine :)?

I can absolutely 100% say that ANY 03 or 04 R6 part will fit on ANY YEAR R6S! It's only some 05 R6 parts that might be iffy ;)

if it's a 2006 r6s of canadian origin meaning that it was first imported for the canadian market then any 2005 r6 parts will fit INCLUDING the forks.

He just sent me some pics, it's got upside down front forks! I call it an 05 R6!

got some part numbers .
5 SL 005 80082A

What is Yamaha YZF 600 r6 5 SL?
Also 5SL-2837L-01 - some other part
Ya-0929-005 - speedometer

These all seem to be from a yamaha r6 2005.

Right, so, Toysrforboys figured it out after i scrambled for some part numbers. :) It is a 2005 r6 bought in Greece :)
