Quick Jack?

Too good to be true? Used 2-post lift in London for $800 (and dropping). If only I had the room (and the ability to inspect it for safe operation)...

Hofmann 2-post car lift car jack

CA$800
Listed a day ago in London, ON

***WILL DROP PRICE $100 EVERY OTHER DAY UNTIL SOLD. IF THIS IS LISTED, IT'S STILL AVAILABLE.***This is a two-column carjack. The motor I believe is the wrong one, but it works (it's a 120 vs. the 240 which should come with it). Regardless the unit is in good working order. It's available immediately, first come, first serve. Thanks. Limit 6500 lbs.

I wouldnt be driving to London for that. Looks very well used and not well kept. The right leg may have a dent or it may just be dark blue paint.

If you have 12' clear, there are quite a few two posts around for $1500 or less. Shops upgrade and not many home-gamers can take the old ones so the prices are reasonable. Shorter lifts often sell for more as the market is bigger.

I've thought about one and I may eventually pull the trigger. I didn't pout the floor though. Plans called for 3 or 4" but when I was drilling for the four post, I had more than 6". Two post is a lot more sensitive to concrete. The right answer is probably cut and dig for footings/housekeeping pad but that adds a lot to the cost and effort.

CT has a Dewalt 3 ton long reach floor jack on for half price (until the weekend I believe). I just picked one up for the Ranger as I couldnt get my regular floor jack under the 'official' rear jack points. It is also low profile for those with sportier vehicles (3.35" to 24" lift).

Wasnt sure where to put this.....here or Pickup Trucks or What did you do in your Garage or Chistmas Gift Ideas threads.

Zang. Good deal.

My current jack ****** our some oil yesterday when cousin opened up the release a bit too far.

Car slipped off the jack as the lift points were so rusted on his car. Thankfully only 8” drop.

Holy cow - a Snap-On alignment lift with turntables and dual bridge jacks in supposedly working condition. Even if the hydraulic cylinders are leaking or in need of a rebuild, it would still be worth it. Bridge jacks for my Bendpak are $2300 each.

That’s a fantastic price! Too bad it would take up my entire garage!

22' long will be an issue for many people.
