Question for Scala users! Voice Dial issue.

FS do you have a reading problem??

Mr. Tijerina says that evidence shows that so-called "cognitive distractions" aren't much of an issue,

but physical distractions are. <<<<<<<

The Scala's and other comm devices are a safety factor for riders and the reason I bought it in the first place ........deal with it

Both of us enjoyed chatting today and giving a heads up on road conditions which are iffy on the less travelled roads - there is still a fair amount of gravel and sand on the roads.

You stay in your cocoon and leave the technology to those responsible enough and capable enough to handle it like the guys above and thousands of other riders.

How about moving on to some thread where you have some actual hands on experience to contribute to and let the rest of us who actually use these devices and have for years have a conversation.

The use today was enjoyable and contributed to a safer ride.

I do find it ironic a motorcycle rider is nannying on about risk factors.

Anything that's "not much of an issue", is an issue! Just not much of one.

Your mad reasoning skills would have us believe that "not much of an issue" is the same thing as "no issue". Who's got the reading problem do you think?

Re: Nannying on about risk factors; you're the one who introduced the subject, then posted a graph to prop up your argument from an article that the reporter doesn't even support in his conclusion. http://www.autoweek.com/car-shoppin...falls-despite-increase-in-cell-phone-use.html <--- He concludes "learning to ignore the cell phone and other distracting devices while driving can be as important for your safety as buckling the seatbelt and adjusting the mirrors"

Tell us more about the 'roos, mate.

The voice dial interface on my Scala works with the voice command feature on my Android phone. But I still find it confuses me! Just too mcuh setting up, etc. and I'm already fed up with all this newfangled technology!

Generally, my wife is the only person I need to phone when I'm riding, so before a long day in the saddle, I'll just dial her number, that way it's programmed into the 'Last number dialed' feature and I can call her with the press of the button rather than the voice command function.

Yeah voice command can be stupid at times.....I tell it to play music and it goes to some Facetime function but the whole category has improved over time.

I just have have a dozen numbers programmed in that it seems to do okay with. Call Office Call Home KISS
