Quebec students protest in their underwear.

I'm putting my daughter thru Uni at the moment. So far she has been able to get provincial assistance amounting to about $600. The first year she got nothing because she'd taken a gap year to work full time and save up. She finished 3 weeks ago and starts her full time summer job on Sunday so she can save up again. I'm into this for a boat load of cash and she's working her *** off to help every which way she can. She said she'd like to slap this lot across the face. I'd like their parents to withdraw their financial support to their kids. Lets watch them protest then.

And the irony is if they're studying sociology, anthropology and philosophy chances are they'll either end up working for the Govenrment or at least relying on Government funding for part or all their income. And I bet they do **** all to change the situation once they're there. Armchair socialists. Tazer their lilly white *****.

Funny, I had 15k a year in tuition for law school, got loans to live on, scholarships for tuition, worked summers.

Meanwhile quebec has :tuition unheard of in other parts of Canada, social services unheard of in other parts of Canada, no economy worth talking about.

weee.

"The protesters are not coming from the ranks of accounting, science and engineering students, who are still attending class, she wrote.

The protesters come from programs such as sociology, anthropology and philosophy

AKA future Starbucks employees.

There are quite a few options also available to reduce tuition costs. There are so many scholarships and bursaries that go to waste every year that people don't apply for. Something to look into. Doesn't cost a thing to try it out.

I like the photo with the guy who has on a sock and a mask using a bullhorn, the girl behind him appears to be staring down at his member, and looks like she is just wondering how full that sock is.

What are they protesting? Having to get up before noon to go to a lecture? Having to finish their dissertations? Lazy ****s. Stop playing at life and get a real job. ****ing hate students.

Why don't you ask them instead of making assumptions like that, which only propagate misinformation in your own mind? Maybe if you found out the truth, you might even understand and join their cause, who knows?

Anything like this always raises the "transfer payment" debate. Not sure where Quebec is now but I imagine they are still getting transfer payments so if you are student in a have province (Ontario is not these days, thanks McGuinty) and are paying more than Quebec you should be the ones protesting...

If they are getting transfer payments, they should be adjusted lower based on this decision.

Nah, I'd rather make assumptions. I love propagating misinformation in my own mind. Much less harmful than making a boring blog about it to inflict my dull musings on others.
