It has nothing to do with justifying for the street. If it was there would be no reason to go beyond a Ninja 250

Not quite. I find it very easy to justify having a bigger engine than a 250 on the street. My point is justifying 8000 more from the standard model with the same engine. These upgrades are primarily beneficial to the track.
