Province wide charging stations

I am suppose you are making a good point but it's eluding me. Please explain what are you trying to say with that picture?
Stupid people build too close to water level.

Would be a pipe dream to put 3 phase to my property or any of the surrounding residences for miles and miles around. My method would work today. 3-phase represents millions spent to deliver more expensive hydro and make me upgrade to a generator the size of a diesel tractor. Your way sucs and is designed to justify expensive hydro delivery and lineups and specialized infrastructure designed to keep the whole candy factory safe and in perpetual business :|

You're missing the point. You don't need 3 phase power to charge an EV at home.

A standard J1772 Level 2 charging station (which is the most common household installed option) is 6.6kw. It needs a standard 240v 40A circuit the same as an electric dryer. Even something like a 100KW Tesla will charge from fully empty (which is extremely rare for most) in 15 hours, or what a vehicle typically sits overnight anyways.

Given as how most EV's have significantly smaller batteries like the Bolt with a 60kw battery pack, not to mention even smaller mid range EV's like our Ioniq with a 30kw pack, charging times are in the 4-8 hour range.

Level 3 charging is something most EV owners rarely use. We've used it literally about 5 times in the last year of owning our Ioniq. And 3 phase power to feed these stations is, as mentioned, commonly available anywhere there's commercial industry or retail where these stations are typically located.

...
To fast charge it you do, 3-phase is an impractical concept, it is designed to make us spend as much coin for electricity delivery at the plug station as we do now for gas at the pump. The whole concept will suck if we buy into it + you and I are going to be the ones responsible for the batteries when they turn to crap.

What are you talking about?

Again, most EV owners do NOT use fast chargers regularly. Nobody who owns an EV is stopping at a fast charging station on their way home with an EV that is not already low on battery and "topping up" before returning home and plugging into their charger at home for basically nothing.

When they do use fast chargers, the resulting usage costs per KM travelled are almost always still LESS than the equivalent of a gas car, or at worst, about the same.

When charging at home overnight as most EV owners do, the cost versus gas is a fraction.

Makes me feel good this, is possible.

Oh cool, I thought it's some weird ICE porn, for those that get a hard on when they see Tesla in distress. Like lol @ dumb Tesla engineers, they can't even grade a charging station properly.

I'm pretty sure you've all been told hydrogen is the future. Get with the program.
