Most of us reach an age where dribbles (or more) happen and they can't be controlled. Making accommodation for these issues instead of eliminating activities you love seems like a great plan to me.
People accuse me of being IMMATURE because I still ride a motorcycle.
Maybe going back to a diaper is only a natural progression.
Its not about where and when to stop as there are always.
Its about that nasty leakage you have no control over.
We are talking minimal volume here and NO BMs.
So with the condom and garden hose route what works best?
Lubricated or non lubricated?
Just FYI, there is a lot of range available in adult diapers. For leakage / incontinence you can get some fairly thin undergarments that do not present a logistical hassle.
"Monkey Butt" is a bacterial infection that will only go away without meticulous cleaning of yourself and your clothing. That means bleach in your wash for your skivvies. Treating your infected skin is done with clotrimazole (athletes foot cream).

We have 2 relatives (95 and 98) in a retirement home and they use pullups while sleeping and sometimes during the day due to unintended leakage. Not an issue of not having a place to pee or waiting too long to pee, they just leak urine and can't control this. Younger women often have this issue post pregnancy as well when they cough or laugh..... Guys suffer from this as well for a variety of reasons, often a prostate issue.
We purchased a few brands of pullups for them to try and the Costco ones worked well and were by far the cheapest. These are not like a child's diaper, the pullups only have absorbent where needed and you wear them for urine issues only. This is the male version of the one we purchase for them.
Other option is to go to a local home health store and explain the issue to the staff and they can show you the range of other products available to address this issue. You can use pullups, wear a condom catheter attached to a leg bag, or use a straight catheter attached to a leg bag.
For #1, be thankful you're equipped with your own drain hose!
Either way, practice your Kegels and don't ever just relax and allow it to dribble as you ride (if you go with protective skivvies). Always work this muscle and try to hold it for a healthy period of time before releasing. I often rely on restaurants or porta potties at touristy rest stops, though I have shown my bottom to the trees before.
Thanks to everybody who commented on my question.
First of all I have not reached a point in life where this is an issue YET!!
I always map out my pit/coffee/gas breaks and seldom ride more than 150km between stops.
Some times I get bored on long strait stretches of road and start running WHAT IF scenarios in my head.
This one was a comment from a friend as to why old riders don't take long trips.
"Your limited by how many Depends you can fit in a saddle bag".
I was surprised at the FEAR of the idea of having to wear a diaper and would rather attach a hose to themselves.
There where some good ideas on diapers posted and I will keep them in mind if ever/when needed.
Friend of mine was a professional diver/marine biologist.
He’s older and retired now. On serious meds to keep heart / lungs from filling with fluids. A diving catheter to a tube/bag or tube to foot is his solution. Works great from what he tells me.
