Simple question. Will you see it? Will you wait for it to come out on BR or DL it?

Seems interesting. A prequel to a series of movies I enjoyed for the most part.

I'm going to go Saturday if I have nothing better to do.

Waiting for Cronenberg's Cosmopolis as well although having read it I know how it ends... kinda ruined even though they have said it is a very good book to movie evolution.

Downloading on principle alone. (just like all other movies and shows)

I'll probably end up seeing this in the theatre. I only go once or twice a year to the movies, and so it's gotta be a movie that I *really* want to see on the big screen. I love me some Ridley Scott, and most importantly, Charlize!

:love7:

when I saw the first Alien movie....right when they showed the huge Alien sitting in the chair lookin into the stars...

I wanted to know more

I'm going to see it in 3D.....dont care what it costs

Went to the Canadian premiere for Alien at the University Theater (H. R. Geiger fan). I can't force myself to sit still that long at the theater any more, so I'll DL the BRrip of Prometheus once it becomes available. Now that I think about it, the last movie I saw in the theater was the Crying Game in 92, and that was a we're-going-to-the-movies-tonite-dammit ultimatum. Last movie before that was Aliens in 86.

I'll likely go see it if I can..I generally like Ridley Scott's movies..and I do kinda wanna see where they're going with it..although I hear it's a bit of a let-down.

It has Charlize Theron in it - of course.

I'll wait until I can use my free passes then.

Ok I've seen it now and I liked it a lot.

I just saw it. I'm a bit conflicted. I mean, visually the movie is amazing, conceptually I thought it was cool and the whole story idea is kind of intriguing but the general pacing of the movie is off. It seems slow and at times I was seriously bored. I didn't care much for the characters either. I'd still recommend seeing it even if it's just for the visuals but it's kind of like Avatar in that the day after the only thing you'll remember is that it looked cool.

Something I would add is that compared to most theatre fare, it didn't insult my intelligence.

Was OK but the ending confused me.

Anyone else notice?

Is that from the first Alien movie?

I saw Prometheus last night, kinda weak... all the action scenes lacked details... they all seemed so brief.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!

the whole movie lacked .....something.....lets call it depth.

everything they did felt rushed and not thought through. all the emotions felt weak. I mean, what was Charlize's role in the movie? to be the bad guy? to represent the corporation like in the Aliens? The whole "old dude" thing felt dumb and unneeded.

The two guys get lost and stuck in the structure, they are freaking out and then they decide to PET?! the nasty snake looking thing....REALLY!

They get attacked in the structure when they go looking for their missing guys, and then totally forget about them!?

I left the movie theater feeling good about it, but the more i think about it, the more i realize that it felt shallow and unrefined.

First movie in about 10 years I actually want to see at a movie theater. I am a bit of a nut for the early Alien movie and seeing how this one offers an explanation of the space jockey I can't wait to find time to go see it.

This is my signature
