Product Reviews

I ordered what I thought was Russian Caravan loose leaf tea from Amazon but received some flavour that wasn't Russian Caravan; I suspect some sort of jasmine. I had a bit of a hassle getting a refund from Amazon but I eventually had the refund granted. I submitted a review, along with a one star rating, which was rejected as it went against Amazon's guidelines.

Just an FYI for you guys:

Amazon has a ridiculously complex automated review flagging system (I know from ppl working at Amazon and business owners who use Amazon and tried to exploit the review system.) But it's a cat and mouse game between Amazon developers versus business developers bypassing their detection.

With that said, there are a lot of trash reviews as some have noted about the packaging, shipping, etc. etc. but not the product itself. I find it helpful to hit 3* (usually the least # of reviews), and filter through that. These also tend to not be bots because bots usually:
  • Spam 5* ratings to promote
  • Spam 1* ratings to demote
Above applies to everything outside of Amazon too!

Review? Screw that. I paid for it. Done. If i don't like shopping there, i don't go back.
After my HD bs I rarely put up any more reviews. The whole system needs to be monitored better….but if the companies don’t care enough then not much we can do.

Bought a closet organizer unit from HD years ago. Asked if i could buy extra if needed. Yup, no problem.
Needed a couple more brackets. The guy went to his computer, wrote down the url for the company in Kentucky. Here ya go.
Went to Home Hardware, sure, it'll take a day or two.
My review...... Haven't been back.

The HD unit LOOKS like the $1000 unit, but has the guts of the $400 unit... on sale for $750.

That was a problem Sears had. They bought the premium model, with metal parts rather then plastic. Manufacturer warranty was also better at Sears then other big box stores. But price was obviously higher.

People bought the cheaper "identical" model elsewhere.

Best Amazon purchase ever.....Bug-A-Salt pump action bug execution gun: Reverse Yellow 2.5
So you shoot bugs outside? Or your significant other chases you around with a vacuum inside? These gypsy moth caterpillars and I are not friends. Killing 1000 a day with a stick on two trees is getting old. Neighbours pool is full of caterpillar poo (frass).

Haha, no its for in the house for the errant fly...the salt is usually invisible after the kill... I'm a bachelor so I'm OK with that. But the corpse always goes down the drain immediately. Amazing what you can learn on here...ie....proper name for caterpillar poop

Ime,. Home depot is intentionally obtuse and bends rules to benefit them. Long ago I attempted to price match drywall guns purchased the week before and subsequently found a lot cheaper elsewhere. I show them the flyer with the same sku from a different local store and they say "that's not good enough, they have to be in stock". Ok, they are, give them a call. "we don't do that". How do I prove stock? "Not our problem". I drive to store two, take a picture of the stock (including price tag) and drive back to HD. "That proves nothing, it could have been taken any time. That doesn't meet the requirements of our policy for proof". Show me your policy. "Points up to sign that says we price match*" What does * mean? Show me a written page not a sign hung from the roof. "We don't have a written policy we can show you". Holy mother *^(*^(*&^^, your policy is I don't comply with your policy that I can't see but you can tell me at any time why what I am doing does not comply????? I was so annoyed at the bleepers that I went to the other store, but a handful of guns and returned them to HD. Since then, I've bought many thousands in tools but none from HD.

I am not surprised that similar corporate shadiness follows through to their web team.

How about trying this? Angle grinders dies (I killed it actually). Go to store buy another, swap electric motors, and take defunct one back to store for refund.
Not saying who I did this to but they had screwed me in the past so now I have no limits with them.
