Pricing for gf's ninja 300.

So my gf is thinking of selling her 2013 ninja 300 non-ABS as she does not ride it much.

Basically the bike looks brand new and it only has 1100km on it.

I've seen pricing online from $3800 to $5000.

Just wondering what in your opinions is a fair price to ask? I figured because of the mileage,$4500 to $4600 is around where we should be. I would also consider safety and delivering for extra.

Any suggestions on price is much appreciated.

Brand new 2015 non abs are listed on the Kawi site for 4999. DO you think used and 2 years older is worth the 4500 you thinking in asking. Remember the person still needs to pay tax when they register it so that is another 585.

Over 5k for a 2013? not many people would do that if they are smart.

6000 if she comes with the car (which is a bike...which is a reference to the simpsons)

FWIW, I paid $4005 + tax for a 2014 SE ABS model with 1300 kms from a dealer. It seemed like a decent deal from what I saw on kijiji up to that point.

Two types of mind sets of bike purchasers. 1) I will buy new mind set - they will try to get the best price for a new bike and try to lower the price at the dealership. They will not consider buying used unless there is a huge margin of savings. 500 dollars is not going to turn a "buying new mind set person" into a buying used mind set person.

2) will buy used mind set - they are looking for low kilometers but don't want to pay anywhere close to retail. They will message you and seem interested but will never buy at 500 less than retail. Not even 1000 less than retail.

Once in a while you will find a clueless person that will not be either A or B - they will buy an over priced bike like your GF but it is luck to find one of those people and it will take time if you get lucky but I bet you will end up lowering your bike and end up losing some serious buyers that probably were offering a fair price but you considered low ballers

You asked for opinions, here is one from experience.
But if one buys a brand new 2015 for 4999 it'll end up 1.5-2k over that with all the fees. so...

Thanks for the info guys. I guess we will start at 4000 and negotiate from there.

Thanks for the feedback.

That sounds about right. $3500 is too low considering it's like-new with low mileage and the 2013 is identical to the brand new ones except for color options.

Still is a 3 year old bike. Depreciation sucks when you finance toys. Best of luck on the inflated price you are wanting.

People don't understand that you lose the first $1000 when you drive off the lot. You would have trouble selling a 2015 with 1100 km for $4000. Everyone is free to price as they want though, good luck with the sale.
