Yup. There's a lot of "WTF" about this and how weird it looks. But I think that the potential this has isn't so much the helmet hair prevention, but that is creates a pocket of air that will help the channels pull hot air from. The theory is interesting and plausible. It absolutely looks freaky. But does it work in moving the hot air out into the vents? That's what I find is worth a look for 25$. If I can find a way to keep my head cool and sweat less during long summer rides I'll take it.
There are lots of questions and uncertainties about this, but the benefit of it actually working is worth a try. Someone has to take the leap and try out products, especially ones that look weird, and tell others weather it's worth buying or not.
