Power leads for heated gear

This might be a long shot. Does anyone happen to know the size of the plugs for Macna heated gear? I believe they are manufactured by Klan in Italy.

Last season, I bought in FC Moto a pair of heated gloves from them , but I only ordered one cable set that connect to the battery. Now, I’d like to add a set to another bike, but I can’t find a local distributor with reasonable pricing.

The other day, I measured the plugs I have, but the measurements don’t match any of the two most common sizes. I’m either not using the caliper correctly (which is likely), or they might be using proprietary leads that I can't find.
Pics?

It's not the connectors I'd be worried about, it's potentially overloading the heating elements in your jacket by pumping 12V through it if it's expecting 7.4V.

Maybe it's got step-down circuitry in the jacket for safety? Dunno. 🤷‍♂️

I still have a burn mark from a Gebring heated jacket, wasn't a pleasant feeling while riding.

They recalled the jacket and fixed the dodgy wiring, but no apologies or compensation for my new tattoo...

Spend the money and buy from warm n safe, they stand behind their product.

So, the only thing that looks like an identifier in the liner says PO#MW051315. I Googled this and couldn’t find anything.

I went on their website and looked up their old manuals. The closest one at can find to my jacket is in this manual from 2018:
2018 Mobile Warming dual power jacket manual. Only mention I could find of voltage is a reference to 12V Y-connectors, so I guess it’s 12V. The jacket has four barrel connectors: one in each of the sleeves, one in the right pocket, and one at the back interior of the jacket near the bottom. I assumed this was for connecting to pants but the 2018 manual says a Y-connector is needed to do this, so I have no idea what the latter connector does.

It’s very possible this was an older model jacket than 2018 as I think I bought it around 2020 or 2021 on clearance at GP. Sadly no older manuals on their website.

I cant find my calipers but by eye it looks like the barrel connectors have OD 5mm and ID 2mm.

Pictures of connectors.

I have this jacket and pants combo. They are 12v systems, and the plugs are the same "standard" as on other 12v heated gear such as my WarmNSafe jacket and gloves.

Looking at photos of the Macna cables it sure looks like a standard 5.5mm x 2.5mm coax connector, but it's hard to eyeball these things over the internet. I have a bunch of loose 5.5mm x 2.5mm connectors and 5.5mm x 2.1mm connectors and it's a little hard to tell them apart even when you have them side by side in your hand. The pin on the female side of these coax connectors is really what you want to measure (2.5mm or 2.1mm) but they're recessed too far to be able to get a caliper on it.

If you already have an SAE pigtail for battery charging, you can get an SAE to COAX adapter which saves you from stacking too many eyelets on your battery terminals. You just might need to upsize the fuse to match the heated gear requirements.

Like mine.

Is it a recent heated glove from Macna? If so, it seems to come with a "Grip Plug" which seems a bit different from standard co-ax:

Says it's 2024+ technology.

Also, do you need the Y splitter to go from the battery out to the two gloves? That might complicate things if the plugs are non-standard as shown above.

You can see the beveled edges of the "Grip Plug" in this photo, they say it helps with connectivity when under vibration.

This UK site has the Macna cable for $30. Not sure how much shipping to Canada will add... but hey, no tariffs!

Maybe call them to see if they'll special order for you.

This is the one that I purchased last year.

Ohhh. Thanks for the clarification. I'll post updated pictures if I can get measurements from the pin

I will try this, once I can figure out the measure

Yes. The plug seems to have a cover on the sides. My bad. The cable that goes to the battery does not have a cover on the sides, but the ones coming out of the gloves do.

Yes. To connect the two gloves, I need to use the Y splitter.
