Very happy now. Going to sit down and read the manual. Played with some buttons on a little 20km ride. Turned the heated grips on and couldn't figure out how to turn them off. Senior moment!

What bigpoppa said.I can't slam Harley too much really. It could have been just one employee with crap work ethics.Beauty bike, but what happened to the Panam?

Honestly I find it hard to slam anyone these days, worldwide delays etc. What bigpoppa said.I can't slam Harley too much really. It could have been just one employee with crap work ethics.
I'm VERY happy with the Yamaha and the extra $10,000 in my bank account.
It does. Motor doesn't care what gear is in. It weighs almost 200lb more than my Ducati, but it's not noticeable at all.Holy crap, that’s a 1200, must have loads of torque
Great looking bike. Can never go wrong with a YamahaIt does. Motor doesn't care what gear is in. It weighs almost 200lb more than my Ducati, but it's not noticeable at all.
Ok.... Pushing it around in the garage it is.
I put a skid plate and wind deflectors on it. It's very close to the comfort of a wing, wind wise.Great looking bike. Can never go wrong with a Yamaha
Was there any ad-ons that you had them do
trade in the T7?Picked up this beauty today. The engine is so ridiculously smooth and powerful, such a blast to ride.
As much as I loved the T7, this is much more suited to the type of riding I want/am able to do in my neck of the woods.View attachment 50310

nice, enjoy the z900 !Yep. Thought about it a ton before pulling the trigger. The major factor was that it kinda sucks riding a 470lb, very tall bike off-road, at least for my limited abilities. I'm sure people who are more talented than me can do crazy things with it, but for a newbie it's just too much. I dropped it a bunch of times, almost threw out my back picking it up, and every time it went down something went wrong, like the kickstand killswitch or the handlebar/front wheel alignment. Ended up wrenching on it more than riding it.
It's great on road, but I'd rather just have a street bike and pick up a small dirtbike in the future. View attachment 50311

That's just it, all these manufacturers get all these MX and Dakar superstars to hawk their Adventure bikes. The average punter sees Pol Tarres riding a T7 up a spiral staircase in an abandoned building at Romaniacs and thinks, "If I buy a T7, I could probably do that too!"
And then you drop the F-n thing in 2 inches of pea gravel and you realize: you're no Pol Tarres...
Whatever amount of money Yamaha is paying Pol, they need to pay more. I cannot imagine a better marketing campaign than having him do absolutely unbelievable stuff on that bike.

Honda has the GOAT, Toni Bou, making the 500 lb Africa Twin look like a toy in some of their videos lately...
