Here's to an early spring...because I'm getting soo sick of driving the car. As much as going to work can suck, I miss seeing this in the mornings too!

Wow! Is that a Bandit 600 back there?

Yup! I forget what year it is but I like that bike.

I was only kidding because it's about the plainest bike there but my neighbor has one and it's fairly easy to ride, I like it. Goes over bumps nice and smooth.

Oh yeah, I hope to see your RC on the road sometime this year as the 30 is one of my all time favourites and yours is pretty close.

Oh ...lol I thought you might have a Bandit or something. I do like it though, looks good and was comfortable to ride.

I'm out all the time on the NC30, always going through Waterdown. I'm usually in Campbellville Sunday mornings in the summer as well.

You go to seneca?

Nope!

I'm in love with that VFR. Love. Are they rare? I cant find a single 400R for sale
If you want to spend a year of your life replacing everything rubber on it (and that years pay as well) Nuak gets them from time to time ;) Shoot them an e-mail and they'll let you know when they got some 400's comin in http://nuakjdm.ca/Motorcycles.aspx

there are NC30's in good condition out there, you just have to be patient :p.

I checked out a mint one several months ago, wonder if he still has it.

http://www.400greybike.com/ <-- pretty cool forum for NC30, NC35's

Have to Admit, that NC is a Gorgeous bike

Me too! Yeah, they're pretty rare in North America. I'd love to know how many have been imported but I'd guess under 100 for sure. Somehow I managed to find 2 of them though, so they're around. It takes a lot of searching to find them and you have to check different sites constantly. I'm buying some parts lately from a guy in the USA who told me he has had 7 NC30/NC35's. They're easy to find in the UK and Japan obviously...if you want to ship them over yourself.

Check these sites often:

Nuak JDM
Kijiji (obvious, but I found both of mine advertised on there in Ontario...check B.C., Alberta & Quebec too!)
Wera 13x forums
BARF forums (US - Cali.)

and MOST importantly...

www.raresportbikesforsale.com (they do the searching for you!!!)

You have to register to see the classified section on that site. Some nice stuff for sale on there. I buy parts from people on there once and a while, never had any issues. Rick Oliver is a member there, he makes some trick **** for VFR/RVF's.

I wouldn't be weary of getting another 400 from Nuak. I bought my first VFR from them and put 40,000km on it over 3 seasons wish zero issues. The bike was very clean underneath and everything worked. The second one I got from somebody who had bought his from Nuak as well, same thing with that bike. Has 13,000km now and runs perfectly. Just needs regular maintenance. It's the 250cc bikes you have to be careful about!

If you do some research about Japan, you would find:

"For vehicles larger than 250cc, a biyearly (every other year) inspection must be done. This is called SHAKEN (ŽÔŒŸ). The main cost components of shaken is the mandatory insurance (JIBAISEKI HOKEN) and weight tax (JYUURYOUZEI). These, plus a few miscellaneous fees can come to as low as about 35,000yen. However, in order to get the bike to pass the rather picky inspection, a lot of work might be required. Or at least required in the eyes of the bike shop (more work means more yen for them). It seems average costs are about 70,000 yen, but you can probably do it for much less by doing it yourself. See the section on SHAKEN below. Like the mandatory liability insurance, the shaken transfers with a vehicle (and is often a selling point: "comes with shaken good until next January"). Since a 250cc bike is the largest bike that doesn't require this, 250cc is the most popular size."

This means people there probably run 250's into the ground. Anything bigger has to be maintained to a certain standard for a "Shaken". You have to be very cautious buying 250's as a grey import. The 400cc bikes are usually in much better shape and the VFR400 is the most well built out of all of them.

More pics... shouldn't post in this thread without em :p

My first NC30 the day I bought it...

This is the most recent pic I took of that bike... I crashed it pretty badly a year and a half a go.

Will hopefully have it on the track soon.

It was a 250 I was referring to :( Had NO idea about the inspection thing!!! Good to know.

If anyone finds me a nice RVF 400 I'll give ya a couple of beers as a finder fee ;)
