......if you don't really know why your changing things maybe leave it as is till you can tell there's a problem (put the cap extenders on though, they'll end up being useful). If the bike isn't doing somthing you like that's when you need to find an answer as opposed to just changing stuff because lots of people do it. Try the bike at stock heights and then try dropping your forks, it takes literally minutes and doing it at the track where you can try it right after the change is the best way to do it. Also just because a pro suspension guy touched the bike it isn't perfect...yet! They get it in the ballpark, it's up to you to tell them what your feeling to help them fine tune your setup which will never be perfect, there's no such thing.
Makes complete sense, I will keep this in mind, thanks!
I have a 2006 GSXR 750 for the street and when I had the forks set to OEM specs (5mm above the top triple) the bike would just flop over fairly easy which made it awkward for me to corner, as soon as I made the forks flush with the top triple it felt better but I still think there could be some improvement. This is solely based on my street riding experience, maybe it will be different on the track.
LOL Love it everyone calling you out on a very popular mod for the GSXR's, in fact I have been told by more then one suspension tuner that on your generation its a must. Don't worry Mina your doing the right stuff, and Kyle really only makes the extenders for bikes that benefit from them...
I'm not worried, I'm putting on the right stuff from the start since I plan on keeping this bike a while.
