Can't you claim it through paypal/your cc company?
My friend paid with his credit card directly. He called the CC company and they took part in the investigation, but because Canada Post said it was delivered to his door successfully, they couldn't do anything :( I think the CC company wasn't happy that a) it wasn't insured for the correct value and b) wasn't declared at the correct value through customs (hence they offered him the "$20" refund :( ).

Mine was just a bit careless. I bought it online and had it shipped to my Aunts house in Cali so I can save even more on shipping and duty (Free shipping). She was going to visit us here anyways so ordered other stuff. She came here she only brought my ASV C5 levers and said that was the only thing that she got. Apparently it was backordered, long story short she mailed it to me when she got back, but didn't requrie a sig and only claimed it for $100. She couldn't provided me a tracking info then so after over a month and a halk she gave me the tracking info and sure enough the package was "delivered" a month before. Had I known it was "delivered" a month ago I would've followed up on the very day. USPS and Canada post has been a headache to navigate with so basically it looks like I'm SOL.

Holy crap! That's bad man.

A lot of parts coming in over the next few weeks, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Shakrskinz arrived today:

Purrdy, any special plans for paint?? :)

My new rotors and (wrong) brake pads showed up today (supposed to be GPFA), a day late (thanks Canpar).

Now, couple things with the rotors. There's a pretty big dent in one of the carrier spokes, not sure if it's something to complain/worry about? I haven't inspected the second one yet.

And these EBC rotors are supposed to be fully free floating, but I can't move the rotor on the carrier at all, and on the back of the buttons there's a spring washer, for sure no floating with that :(

All of the above pics were taken with my cell phone so I apologize in advance. The dent pics/button pic are 50 percent crops too :( lol.

Let me know what you think :(

Damn, you were waiting for these things for a long time, didn't you.. who sent you the wrong pads? And the rotors---you paid the full price expecting flawless package. Since it's winter, I'd complain and send them back, then buy rotors that are not necessarily fancy, but people use for racing and are satisfied with. Don't know about the full-floating, all I know is those spring washers are typical to semi-floaters, but that doesn't say much.

All of my floating rotors use C-clips and very flimsy spring washers, I have never seen a true fully floating rotor with riveted buttons like yours, but after reading EBC's specs, they use a new design square drive that is supposed to allow rotors to expand and contract without distortion and rattling buttons...As all of my fully floating rotors are so loose you can shake them like a tambourine in your hand, and they also make rattling noises when going over bumps on the road at slower speeds...

As for your damage, it looks purely cosmetic, but if you bought them brand new at normal price Id want a refund or exchange...Maybe not if it was on the inside but looks like its the outside...So discount, refund, or replacement

Yep, got tired of waiting for anyone in Canada to get them in stock so I ordered from that store on ebay. Paid for express shipping and it sat at canada customs for a week while they "inspected my package" so didn't get here in time for TMP.

I'm not naming who sent me the wrong pads because they are paying return shipping and getting me out the correct ones for no charge so no harm done really. I wasn't going to run new pads without new rotors anyway, so the fact they were late as well is immaterial.

Yeah, semi-floating :( lol. If I'm gonna send em back I'll probably get the Braketech Iron's instead, they come highly recommended and are so fully floating they'll rattle your teeth right out :) When I called EBC they said they put the spring washers there because customers complain about the rotor rattles :( lol. They said the washers are weak to allow the rotor to float, but as you can see in the pic, they are almost fully compressed, that rotor ain't floatin nowhere :(

You can get the bracktech's with blue buttons too! woot

Not a fan of Brake tech, if they dont have want you want in stock be careful.....I had a rotor for my 450 on order with them that was backordered, they told me a few weeks, 2+ months later they say "we arent going to make that rotor for you".......WTF! 2 months go by and now your not going to make them and I have to find another rotor, it was really hard to find a Brembo rotor for my bike but I finally did

Thanks for the info :) I won't mind the rattling if they work good, sucks these ones aren't as floating as I'd hoped :(

That's good that you think it's just cosmetic and yep, it's on the outside :( I'll e-mail the pics to the seller and see what they say. The fact these aren't "super" floating rotors I'll probably ask for a refund or replacement with something else.

I have read many a horror story on R1 forum about delays or never receiving their rotors. One guy waiting 8 months for his fully floating rear :( I'll tread carefully.

Thanks again Johnny for all the info.

I have the braketechs on my GSXR and yes they DO rattle, especially over the chicane at TMP. They have some great stopping power though and very smooth/predictable.

Nice!!! Well, I got a refund for my rotors, including what I paid for shipping originally, and they paid for the return shipping as well! Woot for Starcycle USA!!!

And Tony from Bluestreak had a set of Braketech's in stock (with red buttons :( ) so double WOOT!!!

Can't wait till spring now!!!!!

Wow, these is some good looking iron! How much?
I don't think I'm at liberty to say, but they were retarded cheap, and it seems there's a different price for every model bike. I couldn't even understand Braketech's catalog when it had 5 different rotor sizes listed just for my 07 R1. Best is to give Tony a call 519 475 9055 and I'm sure he can give ya a quote on your bike specifically :) Braketech recommends Ferodo CP1 brake pads for these rotors, they will barely wear the rotor at all, last twice as long as comparable pads, and give you super strong but linear brake performance (hopefully will get rid of that on/off feel of my current brake setup): http://www.braketech.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=66&Itemid=92
