Possibly buying a Z1000! If you have one, post a pic!

I've heard all good things about Z900. But Z900 is "budget" version of Z1000R! If you compare them side by side, you'll notice the difference in almost all the details.

As a Z1000R owner:

Pros:

Extremely smooth throttle. Never/ever crossed my mind that different power modes is needed!
Amazing pull on all the gears and any RPM. Twist of throttle always puts an smile on your face.
Amazing break power (thanks to Brembo M50). One finger is enough at any speed!
The most beautiful deep growl inline 4 sound.
Great engine break.
seat is comfortable for my butt and size (5' 10, 185lb)!
I like the riding position. Not too aggressive and not too upright.

cons:
Not enough info on dash (need to press button to circle through info. Not easy with gloves. I wish they were all available all the time)
Not good on gas!
Hard to do some maintenance (like lubing its chain) with stock mufflers (Not for me since I've after market slip-ons).

I can't think of anything else

I had an 08 Z1000. Loved the bike, put some nice slip on mufflers on it since the stock ones were hideous. Previous owner had done some of the other nice mods. Was a fun bike lots of power and seemed to pick up and go from any speed. From what I have read the newer ones are only better than the previous ones. I think you'd be very happy with a Z1K. Buddy and I swapped bikes for a while last year. Buddy rode my zx10r and I tried his z1000. The mid range on the z was awesome. We later did a 6th gear roll-on starting at about 100k/h, z1000 just ate my ninja until it found some legs... Buddy seems to wheelie an awful lot on his z (sometimes it may not even be intentional lol). Z seems to always looking for a fuel station. The insurance doesn't seem to be any less than my ninja. Seems like a nice bike to ride and own all in all.
