Don’t see why they wouldn’t work. Only issue is many current phones no longer have the jack so connecting to newer phones would be impossible.

Bluetooth adapters are cheap and easy to use. It is one more thing to charge though...

True. Charge a BT adapter or a headset…or get a dongle that’ll connect the wire to the newer phones.
