Portable hot tub. Worth it or waste of money?

Been looking at AirBnB for a possible vacation but the prices have been hiked so….alternative is more staycation. Can’t afford a proper hot tub but I’ve seen some of the portable ones at about $700.

Considering a hot tub rental here is $350 a week these look like a good deal.

Anyone have one? Opinions?

Calling @Zoodles95 as he had one that was setup last year. It may not be portable like the one at CT but it is a 110VAC model if I recall.

There’s a thread around here that I started last fall.

couldn’t find a “hot tub” search thread.

One I’m looking at is a Home Depot ”Hawaii” one. Reviews seem mixed.

Here you go…

Brother in law had a used one. Water was lukewarm at best.

Sold out anyway! There was one left in Home Depot in Kingston and it went while we were deciding.
I’d suggest a portable cheapie to start. Hot tubs are a bit like treadmills, expensive and fun for a year, then for most people the become unused and eventually disposed of.

Use a cheapie for a year, if you love it then go big.

@jc100 I just checked and the Milton store shows 6 in stock...

and I agree with @Mad Mike buy a cheapie, try it out and see how you like it...like he said, a lot of people I know who have them used them a lot in the beginning but then the excitement wore off...

I started with a cheap one 18 years ago

Still soaking most nights before bed

Currently using my 2nd cheap one in the 18 year timeframe
