Please be careful out there!!!

On Saturday I had a motorcyclist make a left turn in front of me on two separate occasions. Both were on Sports bikes. I was in my old truck with a trailer and just managed to get slowed down enough to avoid them.

There is only about 6 weeks left so lets all make it through to the winter:)

Good reminder.
In my case, 2 cagers almost took me out within 15 minutes on QEW/403 yesterday. Maserati and a pickup truck, abrupt lane changes (into my lane) - didn't look...
Be careful out there, and please - don't be a clown (seen many of those too)...

I had a sport bike blow by me at 170-180 on the dvp by bayview. I was in the right lane with my pickup, and there was a tractor trailer in the middle lane, and another goof in a sport bike in the left lane doing about the same speed as the bike but a little ahead.. My truck weighs just over 7000 lbs + 500 lbs of load. God knows how heavy that 18 wheeler was..... or what it was loaded with......

Not exactly smart. Had I wanted to make a lane change, or drifted a little to the left, I would of flattened him.

I almost hit a rider while attempting to switch lanes earlier today on 401 EB just before Yonge. A group of 5 or so riders were flying down the highway making dangerous passes and lane splitting at about 180 km/h by my estimate. I let the group go by and then tried to lane-change to catch my exit. At that moment I see a couple of stragglers come flying from behind so I swerve back into my lane just in time for them to blow past me right where my right set of tires were a half second earlier.

Half a second on a lap time is huge.

Had you not been lucky enough to see and avoid them at the last second you would have been excoriated by many here for not seeing the incoming missiles. So goes the complete lack of self-responsibility among far too many riders here and out on the road.

I know it was hot this weekend but I can't believe the amount of young riders out on their Supersports with running shoes, shorts, and T-shirts. Too many had their girl friends on the back with no protective clothing on at all. Oh to be young and invincible!

Hey at least they weren't riding stupid weaving all over their lanes. It's a start no? :dontknow:

Your correct, a good amount of them were weaving all over all the lanes. In retrospective their choice of gear is closely aligned with their riding habits.

The fact that they were riding squid doesn't hurt anyone but themselves and is their own personal choice especially when riding in hot weather. Also, if the girls wanted to get on without gear, its also their own personal choice - no one forced them to get on.

Weaving through all the lanes on the other hand....

One poster can't believe an amount of something and another one addresses the ramifications of personal choice. Did somebody delete some posts because I don't see a direct link? At this point I'd like to quote Sid Vicious, Albert Einstein, Ghandi and Hitler. If I find a tie-in, it'll be a go.

Why do people ride cruisers with dirty white running shoes? Polished and shiney bike, matching jacket, and helmet, but all I can see is their dirty and falling apart running shoes.

Old people on cruisers...smh...

Better than one of the guys at my company who rocks the "Sons of Anarchy" vest when he rides his blacked out Harley with ape hangers.

Just one?

Just being the old fart that I am, it would seem to me if I actually liked the girl on some basis, I might want to keep her safe and free of major road rash. A girl missing chunks of her skin is not all that attractive to me.

What do I know? Kids be kids, till they dump it once, which they will.

This is not a knock on SS riders, I think the same way about the running shoe gang on the cruisers.

By the way their "personal choice" effects waiting times in hospital ER's.
