Places for Tire Change?

Rookie rider, can anyone suggest a place to change tires in Toronto and how much I should be looking to pay each wheel?
Do I purchase the tires, leave them at the shop then ride the bike to the shop and wait for the change? Dumb questions, sorry.

You'd get a better deal if you buy the tires from the place installing them. I got mine done at St. Onge in Barrie, but there are closer options in Toronto. I'm sure others will chime in

I just rode my bike with old tires to the shop, bought and installed there itself. Left the old tires with them.

Any major moto service shop will change tires.
Call for pricing, but be aware that the price usually increases if you didn't purchase the rubber from them.
Labor is where they make the $$

I would but I don't have the equipment to change my own tires lol.
If you do ever invest in some tire irons, get the ones that are I-beam shaped and about 16" long.

Yonge and Finch area.
Highly recommend Speedworx in Markham.
They have good prices on tires and installations as a package.
I have bought tires from them at roughly the same prices that online vendors charge and it supports a local business. They are also nice, professional people to deal with, which to me is worth the most!

They may be able to store the tires for you or whenever you need a tire change, just strap your new one to your bike and they can swap them out very quickly - book an appt first as always.

Even just taking wheels off and bringing them to shop will save you money
about 80+$ per hour if you clean them too.

Check the wheel bearings and have them done too if you aren't up for it, wheel bearings are cheap to replace and often available right over the counter in a decent bearing supply store :| you can even sneak some oil past the seals with an insulin sized needle and thin machine oil.
... changed your fork oil lately? <- drain that into a clear glass container so you can examine it in sunlight for metal particles. & water

It does, but it only goes so far. Balancing new tires would be tricky.

At least if they can pop off the wheels and take it someplace it this would be the best option.
Looking at $60 per tire.

Owner of an '09 Suzuki WeeStrom here.

I took of my wheels myself, had the local Honda dealer, order and put the new tires on, then I and a neighbour put the wheels back on.

The dealer tire prices were within $5 of online, and taking the wheels off myself gave me significant savings on the install cost.

If you're going to do it yourself, make sure you have a repair manual, and help for the reinstall.

Trying to adjust something heavy in three planes, and having everything fit together perfectly, is difficult.
