Pipeline hack attack

keep hearing this and still haven't had this happen to me ever, some of you guys must looks sketchy or unbalanced.

I think a lot of gas station attendants would rather just not deal with the potential drama anymore. Honestly, I’m not sure what the difference is if I’m sitting on the bike fueling versus standing beside it anyways.

It's hard to spill fuel on your junk if you are beside the bike. I think the main reason is speed of escape in a fire but if my bike is on fire, I am dropping it and gtfo of there. Won't be much slower.

they dont prohibit people sitting in cars while you fuel up so I think the escape speed isn't the point.
they don't want you to drop it and spill your whole tank. not sure how often that happens.

The only time I ever dropped a bike at a gas station, it was a failed attempt to get it on the centre stand (uphill, raining and centrestand peg was slippery metal). Controlled tip over away from me. Installed grip tape on centre stand when I got home.
