Ugh, I wish they'd bring the smaller EV's here at least the ID.2 or 3. I like smaller cars/hatches and hate they are seeming being replaced with crossovers etc. I would like an electric I can easily afford, I don't like to break the bank on my cars.
Agreed. Unfortunately life circumstances have forced me to move to a larger vehicle.Ugh, I wish they'd bring the smaller EV's here at least the ID.2 or 3. I'm still (not so) patiently waiting for a Hybrid Ridgeline........I'll try to be the 1st to own one.Oh I'm liking this!
I couldn't justify the AWD/Hybrid/4k combo on the 2025 Maverick (close to 50k!) but if I'm enjoying the Mav as much as I am...there'll be a second one following the current one when it's time.
Oh that would be nice! Toyota has a great hybrid system in the Highlander and Sienna…not sure why Honda isn’t using their systems in the larger class.I'm still (not so) patiently waiting for a Hybrid Ridgeline........I'll try to be the 1st to own one.
It looks cool. I assume all new EV companies are vaporware until proven different. There have probably been at least a dozen with an interesting press release that failed to launch. I was concerned about a 2026 launch with only renderings but it seems like there are at least a few physical prototypes. Others know better but I suspect going from prototype to full-scale production and sale in a year is a fantasy.I found this very interesting... maybe unrealistic.

Also profit margin is far better on the fancy trims. Add a few hundred dollars in content, up the price by many thousands. A company that was aiming for the bottom end only doesn't need to worry about cannibalizing more profitable sales.Despite the amount of online crowing about how there aren't any cheap vehicles on the market any more, that's mostly because people stopped buying them.
I want full size extended cab, power windows, locks, cruise A/C and keyless entry nothing else that's how my current truck is specced. If I could buy a replacement for 30 to 35 I would be all over it. Paid 24 for this one in 14 and it is close to 200k no problems at all so far. Probably end up driving this one into the ground at current prices I can do an engine and transmission and still be ahead. There's a reason you can no longer get a 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder 5-speed-manual standard cab Ford Ranger with no power windows or cruise control or carpet on the floor.

In Canada, it was never the power windows, it was AC. If you wanted a base model, yes, it had manual windows, but no AC, and not an option. So you had to go up to the next thigher rim to get AC, which also came with power windows and locks, etc. And the cost was about the same as adding aftermarket AC, which wouldn't be covered under warranty, and I think at some point aftermarket shops stopped offering it so you had no choice but to go factory. There's a reason you can no longer get a 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder 5-speed-manual standard cab Ford Ranger with no power windows or cruise control or carpet on the floor.

That part is very reasonable. I think of a car like the regal Toyota Echo - in Canada every single option you could get, other than colour, was dealer installed. Including the "RS" appearance package, Borla exhaust, and A/C. Now in this case they say they want to sell direct to consumers, so in theory there is no dealer to install them. I wonder what route they would go for service - sign an agreement with an existing manufacturer? Open up to independents being "licensed" service centers?Backed by Bezos apparently. That's a similar idea to one I've been thinking of - build a bare bones car that everyone can afford, but make it customizable/extensible so they don't have to keep selling and buying new ones.
Those strippers were likely sold in fleet sales guessing the purchasing agents were offered some heavy discounts on more optioned units and that coupled with dealers only bringing in the no option rides on special order by a customer killed the market. There's a reason you can no longer get a 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder 5-speed-manual standard cab Ford Ranger with no power windows or cruise control or carpet on the floor.

I love it and would be very happy if it shows up on our market. Unfortunately I don't think it'll meet all the specs / price levels because we know how things go.I found this very interesting... maybe unrealistic.

I'll tell buddy. He didn't want the diesel or short box but needed the heavy duty. It's only $140K so grab something before the insurance company reneges on paying for it.Ram diesel pickup , if I could not find a B model Mack from the sixties or maybe a Soviet era Niva diesel that could be an option . It would need to come with a five yr warranty and It would be for sale month seventy . Nobody lately can F up a decent engine and power platform like those fellas at Dodge .
