Picking up a new bike.

As the title states. I am extremely excited. I just got insurance dealt with today, so I'm glad that's done. Thursday next week I am picking up a brand new green and black 2012 zx6r and trading in my '09 fz6r. I have done ~20,000 kms on the Yamaha since I got it January last year and if I find the time I will ride the zx even more.
 
Sounds like a great bike.
Can I take it for a spin?

you have done 20,000km in 1 season??
wow, you deserve a new bike. congrats on the new scoot!
 
No, 1.5 seasons. My season is January 1st to December 31st. :P
 
I doubt you will still ride that much once you get your ZX6R, it's totally different bike, FZ6R is way more comfortable. You will see what I mean :)

I just bought a brand new green 2012 zx6r earlier this summer. You're going to love it...

the 09 to 12 zx6r is an awesome bike, very forgiving but not that comfortable IMO.
 
I feel bad for whomever you sold that (now) salt-ridden fz6r to....

that being said, I can't WAIT to take the leap to a SS, either. Enjoy!

I looked at the zx10, r1, r6 but Kahuna doesn't sell Yami's anymore. Not new at least. I wanted to buy from them again as I'm trading in my bike. Should have just a hair over 41k kms on it when I do turn it over. BTW, do you happen to be on TM3 aswell? There's another old timer member on there with the same name.

I did get a decent deal, and as for salt... I wash my bike, like my car. It's all good, I'm not paranoid like a lot of people. The zx6 will be taken out in the winter too. Now, please everybody tell me I shouldn't ride my bike and how many problems I'll have if I don't only ride it on the sunniest 30+ days during a two month period.

I like to ride, f- me, right?

Ah okay, I'm looking at changing my FZ6R over to a R6 eventually that's why I was asking... Yup, that me from TM3! I also recognized your name from TM3! LOL
 
I really hope you took the stupid decals off your fz6r, especially if you have the yellow one with the fabulous star on it. Mine is blue. Do you still have your white MS3? It's been a while since I saw you last. We should go for a ride. I'll be out all long weekend if it's nice weather. I usually do 800-1200 kms a day when I'm out. PM me for my cell if you're interested.
