Picking a slip on

So I'm looking for a slip on for my new gsxr. So far I've looked into akrapovic and two brothers. I want it either black or carbon. Any suggestions? Must be dark to go with the bike (i.e. polished will look out of place to me) and not super obnoxious loud. Any input would be appreciated

two bros is on the loud side, not sure about akrapovic.

yosh however seems to be in the middle and there's plenty of exhausts to choose from, carbon, different tips etc, and its made for da GIXXER man! ;)

Only reason noise is a concern honestly is I live close to forks of the credit, new law about bikes and db's. Cops are bad for it here too.

I've read a lot of stuff on the internet (internet never lies!) and quite a few people say stay away from 2 bros. What's that all about? I know first hand a few with akrapovic and I like the sound is why I'm leaning towards them.

Running it on the Dyno voids your warranty and can melt your carbon fiber pipe. After a year the carbon gets little cracks in it, like when you shatter a car windsheild.

NEVER dyno test your bike with carbon fiber mufflers installed - the intense heat and lack of cooling air can quickly cause the CF material to burn. Two Brothers Racing does not provide a warranty
for burned carbon fiber.

My CF was cracked pretty bad.

Akra's are really nice on the Gixxer. I'd buy one for mine if it wasn't going to most likely slide down the track.

I've got a M4 GP slipon on my '11 GSX-R750. Not too loud with the insert, black, subtle, inexpensive, decent quality. For me, the nice thing is that you don't need a rear hanger and it lets you remove the pillion footpegs.

Yoshi hands down. There is no question about it.

Look at the history of the brand. The brand almost began and revolved around Suzuki. There are also many many aftermarket parts that Yoshimura make for the GSXR.

...now I'm just ****** that my R55 full system is not carbon tipped.

The R55 isn't obnoxiously loud but can be if you remove the baffle from what I heard, my baffle is in.

The video above is with no baffle, in case I forgot to mention that ;)

Yeah...I didn't watch it, but now that I did...that is a lot louder than mine LOL

Which sized GSXR?
I went with the M4 on my 1000 to avoid the hanger. I have nothing but good things to say about this exhaust but it is loud.
The Yosh is an excellent piece if you don't mind the hanger.
If you delete the cat remember to factor in remapping the computer.

akra all the way, comparing it to two bro's is like apples and anvils.

Arrow makes a beautiful pipe for gsxr's. made in italy, sounds deep and loud (comes with DB killer insert) and the build quality is the same as Akro. True work of art.

what year is your bike?

the newer arrow's have the fancy diamond shape and are quite short compared to other exhausts.

I just put an arrow on my z1000, its a dream.

Should have mentioned it's a 2012 gsxr 600. I don't mind the hanger. I guess I'm the minority but I think in some cases the stubby cans look funny

My bike (08 gsxr 600) came with a 2bro's slip on..... it was not loud at all. Switched to Yosh r55 full system and it sounds fannnnntastic! Definitely louder but the sound is just perfect.

None of the slip ons are loud with the cat still in place.

I do like the look of the M4 shorty slip on for your bike.
