Personal IronBut

Don't remember the distance but 6 years ago rode straight from Toronto to Davenport, Iowa in 14 hours for a biker rally, then returned 2 days later - 16 hours from Davenport back to Toronto via a different route.
Just remember traffic passing through Chicago was horrible.

Here is a section of a post I put up on ESR. we're leaving June 28th 2013 should be about 6200 Km's give or take.

3 guys, 10 days and 16 States?
You read correctly, this will be an epic trip pushing both our bikes and our “out of shape” bodies to the limits, well close to the limits.
Just to give you a sense of where we will be going take a look at the images below is a list of the cities we will see.

In 2012 we rode from Boston to Georgetown Ontario in a single day.

My personal iron butt was well short of an official iron butt, but it wasn't a planned endurance ride.

On my first trip to Colorado I rode from just outside Joliet to North Platte, NE. I didn't even know how far it was until I googled it later - a little under 1,200 kms. It was just a beautiful day for riding, I gained daylight because of the timezone differences and I was just so excited to be headed out to the mountains. I've done shorter rides that felt more gruelling.

Personal iron butts happened was when I was out west. Rode to Olympic Island in Washington in one day - that was ~1000km.

Did the Cascades loop through Osoyoos in one day, that was about 900Km give or take.

Kamloops and back in one day, also ~900KM.

Honestly, days like that, though awesome, make you not want to ride for a week! This was on a Z1000, so minimal fairings. My neck muscles got a lot of exercise!

I did a ride to Atlantic city last October in my 250..
Left TO by 5am, wasted 1hr in "la migra USA" n 1hr due to bad traffic in Philadelphia. I obviously spend a good 5hours riding Pennsylvania. No tolls

Return:
Woke up late n left Atlantic city by 10:30 am, all toll roads to Pennsylvania, about 2hrs of joy in twisties n then back to Toll roads, was at the border by 1am.

My butt wasn't that tired but I developed a bad addiction to smokes n colas ... lol

Was sitting here thinking of some of the rides I have been on (waiting for damn winter to end)and got thinking about the most saddle time I did in one day. For me it was the ride back from the Dragon. My freind and I decided to drive straight thru from Ashville back to Brampton.
It took us 14hrs to get back home only stopping for fuel and a quick bottle of water and a snack then right back on the road. By the time we hit the last toll in Buffalo I almost dropped the bike cause my legs were so stiff nearly didn't get my feet down in time.
It was fun but don't think i'll try that again, getting to old, anyways what is everyone own personal ironbut?

From Brampton to Bangor Maine 17 1/2 hours one way and then the next morning 17 1/2 hours back home. 2400km in 2 days and I loved it. Doing that trip again twice this summer. Let the good times roll!

Denver to Mississauga in 2 days. 2400KM (1200/day)
Columbus, OH to las vegas in 4 days. 3520KM (880/day) With stops in St. Louis, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam to see the sights.

May not sound like much but try doing it on a sport bike. The multiple long days is what gets you. Climbing up and down the rocks at the grand canyon and then riding on was probably the worst idea ever.

Awesome fun but the CBR250 seat wasn't fun in any way shape or form after 800 miles. Total distance was around 1650km or so in about 21hrs.
The first day I owned my 07 R1 I lead a group ride from Toronto to Aylmer, then rode to London and back, was a little over 600km in one day and my butt was killing me!!!

Got a new seat (saddlemen tech, memory foam + gel = FTW) and did an Algonquin run a few days later 1000km and it was 1000x better :D

PEI to Toronto in one shot. It was a long day, not my best idea, but not my worst.

The longest trip I did, was ~700 KM's to Niagara falls (back roads) and back to Ajax while 2 upping my girl...
Worst. Idea. Ever!

My best so far is about 1500km.

I'm attempting an Ontario to Utah trip in a few months. Should be around 6000km round trip depending on the route I decide on.....planning to do it over a 4 day long weekend........or I'll drop dead somewhere in Nebraska or Wyoming......hard call on that one, lol.

i rode from moncton NB to Toronto in one shot!!! I think I slept on the bike for half the trip lol I woke up getting to Toronto !

1400km Des Moines Iowa to Newmarket. Left at 6:00am was home at 10:00pm
