Personal IronBut

Was sitting here thinking of some of the rides I have been on (waiting for damn winter to end)and got thinking about the most saddle time I did in one day. For me it was the ride back from the Dragon. My freind and I decided to drive straight thru from Ashville back to Brampton.
It took us 14hrs to get back home only stopping for fuel and a quick bottle of water and a snack then right back on the road. By the time we hit the last toll in Buffalo I almost dropped the bike cause my legs were so stiff nearly didn't get my feet down in time.
It was fun but don't think i'll try that again, getting to old, anyways what is everyone own personal ironbut?

Approx 500km (Not really sure) when my bro took me up to Muskoka rode around there and came back... Took around 10 hours but it was my 2nd week riding a motorcycle. Was fun but had the %@!$ scared out of me like 10 times with the amount of sand that was still up there in March..
On this trip, push steering was still a new concept for me...

Longest ride solo would be taking local roads up around Lake Simcoe, to the east, and back.

Of course, these are on the CBR125 and tucking for long periods of time got a bit annoying...

York Region to the Sault on the SV650. I imagine it's gonna freaking blow on the Daytona though :s

We did almost 1500 from Columbus to Tulsa in one day. 3AM till about 9:30pm with a stop in St. Louis to see the sights.

My personal record is something like 2200km in 24 hours (riding around NB/PEI, then back to Ontario before a snowstorm hit, this includes sleeping for a few hours and getting lost in Montreal). That trip was over 10,000km in less than a week. I never registered it as I didn't really care about the patch and wasn't interested in paperwork/trying to pile on miles, I just wanted to ride. The rear tire was looking tired when I left PEI, by the time I got home, the belts were showing through :S.

GKramer did a long run (1000 or 1500 miles?) run last summer on the 401. It should be chronicled on here somewhere.

Just shy of 1500kms in a day. Tail end of an 8 day run down to Utah/Colorado/etc. Had zero police attention the whole trip, then I stupidly blow by an OPP cruiser under an overpass on the 407 two exits from home. Why he didn't attempt to pull me over, I'll never know, it'd be a stunting charge with today's laws.

Just wanted to get home to my own bed & family, but it WAS a really long day, and I was dead tired by the time I got home.

Back in 92/93, when I went to school in Macon Ga, I made several trips back to the gta in one shot. Took around 17hrs(1600+ kms) total because of the many fuel stops I had to make with my then V45 Magna. Definetely sore at the end but had get home itis. Doing something like that on a GL1800 now is not a problem but being older, I take my time now.

Rode around Lake Ontario, up to Barrie and home, one day, on my cbr600rr. Just over 1000 kms, was almost crippled by the time I got off the bike. The fun stopped at about 850 km. Might do it again, busa is considerably more comfortable for distance.

My longest was probably 150km lol

I was always afraid my fzr would leave me stranded in the middle of no where. (Left me stranded 2x in downtown) Glad I sold it after a season.

From Knoxville Tennesee to Brampton...1150KM's on the way back from Florida in 1979. I was a kid then on a Yamaha XS500. It rained the entire way until we got to London. My leather jacket weighed more than me by the time I got home, took about 18-20 hours. It was a long sore ride, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.
Oh to be young again.

Longest day was 1330 kms (Las Vegas to Los Angeles via Death Valley, Carmel, CA and the PCH) -- on a Katana 750.

This was part of a two week trip where I went from Toronto to Deal's Gap to Memphis to Dallas to Sedona to Vegas to Los Angeles to Dallas to St. Louis to Toronto.

Planning to do something similar again this summer -- on the ZX14.

Last November did an Iron Butt down to 70miles outside of NYC from Toronto with a few of the members here. Awesome fun but the CBR250 seat wasn't fun in any way shape or form after 800 miles. Total distance was around 1650km or so in about 21hrs.

Had a great time though and looking forward to putting on some big miles this year as well.

Personal record is probably around 1400km (Toronto to Deals Gap) in about 13 hours. I've also done a couple 7000+km road trips in 7 days of riding, plus one rest day in the middle.
