Reminds of the time I first parked a Lambo Huracan and noted the reverse camera was a) the size of a small calculator and b) had comparable image quality to watching Blade on 480p DVD.

Either way, no excuse.

I don't think I have seen a full frame from the camera, all pictures I saw were pretty tight crops. Ideally, you'd have a swarm of cameras and use lenses to fill the frames with important areas. In reality, that's not going to happen so high res camera leave you something left after the crop (although should still use lenses to restrict FOV to interesting area, many pixels get wasted on sky).
