my names mike i bought a 150cc scooter last summer i know scooter ha ha lets get that out of our systems back to the topic at hand i did some up grades and ran like a gem then one day it died not the engine. power died i check fuse all was fine so i stripped it down to frame followed some wires and found all sorts of badly spliced wires some with duck tape instead of eletrical tape and some melted wires all in the front cowl and the ignition switch was screwed up im looking for an experienced
back yard mechanic or a normal mechanic to fix this for me i dont have a lot of money im on disibilty and have 6 kids so money is tight but can offer 200$ 300$ tops i just need the ignition wired and the signals/lights re wired this is my first bike and no nothing about eletrical i also want to remove the alarm and remote start in the end i just want it fixed and able to ride again i live in scarborough if your intrested email me at zalfear@hotmail.com

Make of scooter
Year of model
Can you find a user manual or wiring diagram online?

Also the obvious....is the battery OK? If the bike "just" died could be a battery problem or one of those splices just came loose.

2008 daymak siagon its really a chinease import from a company called zongshin battery has lots of power and theres only 1 fuse ive tryed to contact daymak thay said thay no longer carry parts or sell the scooters and cannot get a diagram and i email'd zongshin and got a responce in chinease characters asked for one in english and got nothing i want it re wired so in the future if somthing elertical happesd ill know that red is posative and black is ground ect man theres every color of the damn rainbow im not a stupid person but im lost as hell on this and its a horrible feeling excuse the spelling i dont type well in the dark and my desk light burnt out waterpump went in my van and ran over a nail today just hasent been my week
 
i was able to start it with the remote start but then my attempt to put the wires on the ignition switch i seen white smoke come from the remote start box and i fryed it at that point i said to my self leave it alone before i kill it and get help but when the bike was running the signals wouldent work i know the problem is in the front of the bike i dont think i need it completly re wired just the wires from the switches and gadges need to be re run cdi starter coil stator all that stuff i think is fine but i want to add more fuses it has the standard one from battery to bike but add some more like one to signals gadges lights its got 1 glass tube with metal ends useless one in my opnion
