Pause from Riding because you have Kids!

i get it i hear you...
in my case the motorbike was bought as a 2nd vehicle.

i wouldnt spend "car money" to commute my car to the office and back
i suck it up and take transit during winter but the added costs of a 2nd car would not make sense cost of car and insurance and maintenance is way higher.

so if the motorcycle is seen in the lens of a fun vehicle, sure, take a break

its a big time suck and sleep suck

I've got a family 5. I don't really have a passion for riding, but I enjoy it. I continue to ride because I trust in my driving skills. I'm good at controlling my vehicle, as I'm sure all of us on this site are. But more importantly, I'm very good at observing my surroundings and predicting other peoples revenuers. For instance, I might notice a person ahead is about to step into traffic, and that a vehicle near me isn't reacting, so I know that vehicle is going to react in a certain way last minute, possible over-reacting, so I prepare for it. Again, I think most of us on this site do the same. I've had a lot of close calls, but as long as I trust in this ability, I'm not worried about traffic. Not that I think I'm Superman, but I feel the risk is pretty low, for now. As I get older this might change.
Also, I don't live in Toronto, or the GTA, so that's a plus. In Brantford I'll take my 9 year old son around town on the bike, but he has to wear full gear.

I see you like to play three moves ahead in traffic chess. Fantastic!
